Sun Pickles . . .

fresh pickling cucumbers



dill and some garlic


vinegar  water  alum  brine



finding some sun for three days
(at my daughters)


someone keeping a watchful eye

Mom used to make some in a crock with alum...what are your exact measurements?

Hi Lynne, My Mom made them in a crock too. With the sun shining through they sure look pretty,,,I can almost smell the dill from here...Brings back some wonderful memories too! Love, Penny

These look so yummy! I tried to grow my own pickling cukes this year. I didn't get many and the ones I did grew so fast, too fast, that by the time I went to harvest they were extremely large and orange. I'll try again next year!
