Pumpkins, Mushrooms and Camera . . .

welcome

new camera . . . not sold on it
my friend barbie says the photos aren't as sharp
i too think the color isn't as vibrant

it is a point and shoot with a million buttons
snickers was my first photo
 she was in another room
probably ten feet away
so i tried out the telephoto

at this point i am just taking pictures of whatever
the colors seem muted, i wonder if it is the time of the year

snickers usually doesn't like her picture taken
she loves to be wherever we are, in or out
i couldn't remove the reflection in her eyes

today was a day to grab my gloves
and dig up and cut back some plants

mushrooms in the woods

first day
of
autumn
i had to find some pumpkins
we spent the early morning at the holland farmers market

 not sure about the color
what do you think

well, some of the colors didn't seem as vibrant, but then the ferns and one of the pumpkins kind of dispelled that notion.

i know that when i got a new lens one time, i didn't think the color was as vibrant either. but i got used to it after a little bit.

I have a setting in my camera/computer program that is auto adjust. You can intensify the color in the editor.

Play a little, you can always revert to the original.

My camera died and I have a new point and shoot since it seems my cameras do not last long even when they cost me much.

The focus looks good. I could not change my dogs eyes either.

Play. What can it hurt? You had color show so maybe it is as simple as an auto adjust mode.

The pumpkins are lovely Lynne. I went out yesterday to find similar coloured one and I found zilch!
I never like the cameras I buy to begin with but after a week or so of playing around you settle into them. Going to be busy week of posing for Snickers then!

I think you are right about the color. Not as vibrant ... although I am not sure it would have been much of an issue if I wasn't looking for it.

Color looks much better in your enlarged photos on your post. Vs. your email attachments. I agree...play with camera. Those button mushrooms should be picked and eaten...gorgeous.

How fun to get a new camera!
Might just take a bit of getting used to. If not, then perhaps the store where you bought it, will exchange it for you :)

Love the pictures of your Snickers!
What a cutie!!

I adore the pumpkins too!!
Love those Cinderella pumpkins!!

Enjoy your day :)

I would go into your editing program and play around with it a little. Whether you have a program that came with the camera, iPhoto, or something else, it should have an adjustment for enhancement. All cameras view things a little different.

Pumpkins! I need to buy some.

Color of autumn. Loving it. The pumpkins are lovely. I've no skills of photography. Simply love your shots.

Are you using your flash when taking pictures of Snickers? Try without. Check to see if you have a low light function. It might help.

Love the pup and the mushrooms. Happy Sunday!

Maybe you have to get used to your camera but I think they all look just fine.I don't use my flash very often, a photographer once told me not to use it at all.

Wow Lynne, a new camera and whole new look. How do you manage to look younger and more vibrant with each passing season? I love unusual pumpkins so to my eye the color is good. I do know what you are saying and if you truly are not happy with it, take it back. Snickers always photographs like a rock star.

Hi Lynne, New cameras can be challenging. You will get the hang of it. The photos are great! Anna

Hi Lynne, I think the photos are great. It is the lower angle of the sun you are noticing in your photos. I like the mellow tones. You'll be a pro before you know it! Love, Penny

Do you think it's possible that the autumn light is what you're noticing? The pumpkin looks fine, and Snickers does too!

Oh... I just had a chance to go back and catch up on all your posts since Snicker's birthday post! You have been one busy girl with canoe trips (so sorry about your camera) beautiful walks to the canal, and trips to get pumpkins! By the way... I love your pumpkins!

It is very exciting to try a new camera!
All of your photos are full of chic autumn colors. The shadows of ferns on the pumpkin have subtle delicacy. Marvelous photos!!

I think they look great! I am so in need of a better camera but I'm afraid I wont know what to do with it. So much photograpy talent out here in blogland. That sweet pup of yours is adorable too. As far as me getting a Peacock..I have decided to pass haha

I think the color and light was perfect in the last one! and I think it's just the time of year, everything to me looks brown and gray. I have to look pretty hard to find a pretty fall scene this year!! Good luck with the new camera!

I love those Cinderella pumpkins.

Give the camera some time as others have said. I think you will become happier with it as you go along. :)

Well I think your photos are so lovely! It is always hard to get use to a new camera. Have fun playing around.

Maybe it was the setting you are using. Can you edit your pics right from the camera? If so, then you can probably find the way to bring out more color within the pics. Or you can edit at PicMonkey. There is setting for the reflection in eyes there also!
Please give Miss Snickers a smooch from me, her auntie misha :))
And for some reason, big clusters of 'shrooms give me the
heebie jeebies. LOL! But I do love the pumpkins! So pretty scattered about for fall!
