How Fast It Changes . . .

Remember . . .
just a few days ago,
snow, more snow, lots of snow

today,
fog, rain, puddles
not to whine and complain or anything
but this is just plain "ugh" weather!

how fast it chnages,
sixty two degrees predicted for tonight
snow in the afternoon
back in the twenties.

freaky

Lynne, Our weather is quite bizarre as well. Actually our sirens have been going off for the last hour. Temps reached76 today and will drop to 40 and 50s by tomorrow morning. We have one more storm to come through before we are out off the dark.

Totally freaky. It was 73 degrees here today, expecting some wild storms on Wednesday night. This is THE most bizarre winter ever. Totally freaky if you ask me.

Hello Lynne:
The thaw when it happens so quickly is always terrible. But what of the huge variation in temperature? So very strange.

Lovely photos, Lynne! Our little bit of snow has melted away too. Warm temps yesterday and again today. This winter has been mild somewhat. We are expecting cold temps to come back this weekend. Wishing you a happy day!

Our backyard rink is a huge puddle right now.

Freaky is right. I just said to Gail (Louisiana Belle) we are finally having an interesting blustery morning here on the gulf. Beautiful sky and a brisk breeze tossing the trees rather than the bland days we have been having. Temps have been in the seventies all week, Lynne. It feels as if we have had one long extended autumn since November.

Wonderful photos.

I think that's what will happen here too Lynne. It's freezing rain this morning changing to rain later and tomorrow. The temperatures will be in the 40's then dropping tomorrow night to below freezing again. Another thaw in January. Rare.

Lynne, that brick path into the forest photo is a serious knock-out! I love the composition. That bench anchors it beautifully. And the slight haze/fog/whatever at the base of the trees is pure magic. Lovely work!

Weather is crazy here too- in the 70's one minute and then dropping to the 20's. Very strange to me.

We are supposed to warm up, and maybe get 1 mm of rain...

It won't do anything magnificent, but it will be fun to see if there actually is anything under the snow.

These are absolutely gorgeous winter pictures and I luv your red jacket. It's almost worth it to have an old-fashioned winter to get photos like these.

It wouldn't truly be January without the schizophrenic weather changes ... freezing cold one day, unseasonably warm the next, snow and ice ... it's best to be thankful for the good weather and roll with the bad.

Love the pop of your red jacket against the white snow. Pretty lady in a pretty environment. We've had temps in the high 40's and 50's the past week and only a tad of snow. We really need the moisture here in the Rockies, so we're hoping we get a real snow storm soon.

We are having the same roller-coaster weather here on Long Island, New York. That is a great photo of you in the snow with your red coat! Your property looks beautiful, regardless of the rain.

I am turning into a prune from all the running between buildings in the rain. Fog, rain, mist and downpours - wet, wet, wet up here!

How ephemeral everything is! Especially snow. That's why it is so beautiful.
A few days ago, Nara had snow falling in the morning, but in the afternoon it melted.
I agree with you it changes too fast.
Have a great week.
