Events, Muskegon Art Museum . . .

post card salon
was an event which recently occurred at the
muskegon art museum

the exhibit
featured small scale original artworks
presented by artists in the region

artists of all ages and
 skill levels
working in a wide array of media
participated in the event

artists could contribute
up to five postcards

all media was welcomed
such as
paint, marker, pencil, collage,
 ceramic, found objects, textiles
the subject matter was up to the artist

creativity and originality
was appreciated by the viewers
and coveted
by the buyers

postcard pieces
were sold
at the close
of the salon exhibit
thirty dollars apiece

we were able to view the
textile and fiber exhibit
being held at the
museum on the same evening

this traveling exhibit featured
fiber artists
 of various textiles and fibers

fiber as a fine arts movement exploded in the twenties
this exhibit shows the transformation of fiber arts
from the functional and decorative
to innovation and experimental

beautiful fiber art
fabulous exhibit

the photos are ones I took
of the orginal art at the
postcard salon and fiber art exhibits
they are not for copy

Hello Lynne:
We absolutely love this idea and once came across something similar in Britain. This is so much the kind of exhibition we should enjoy as we are certain that you did. Wonderful!

Know you had a wonderful evening as I’ve seen a tad bit of your collections. It’s always a good thing when we can see two exhibits at the same time. Happy Valentine’s Day to you and yours.
