A Happy Day . . .

A big day for this guy yesterday.
He scored first in each of his three track events.
800 Dash, 400 Relay and Pole Vault.

Sadly, I missed all the excitement
because of a previously scheduled volunteer banquet.
Jordon's Conference Meet is on Friday and I/we will be there!

In the middle of the volunteer event
this was the message my daughter sent me . . .

"Your grandson smoked em and
won the 800 dash for his team.
He just took first in the pole vault.
Now we wait for a good hour.
He looks so darn good.
I caught the last part and was like
is that my boy smoking em.
It was!
Happy Happy "

Isn't it wonderful to have children who can do well in sport. But isn't it sad when we miss what's happening because of other commitments and so wish that we were there at the finish line! I'm sure that he already knew how much you love him and want to be there for him! Joan

Both our kids ran track. My husband loved their meets and said it takes great dedication to run track. They are in their 30s now and still run. Thanks always for your kind comments on my blog.
