Random 5 Friday . . .
ONE
Top of the Rock, NYC
We arrived home last night.
I have plenty of photos to show you
having loaded many photos in the past few hours.
I promise to not show you all three hundred plus.
Before I share my favorite vacation happenings
I thought you might enjoy this crazy photo of us when we
managed to get caught up in the
photography hype at the
Top of the Rock
First night in the city at
Rockefeller Center.
(This is a photo of a photo.)
TWO
Here is a weary looking picture of us
taken at the end of the day.
We were enjoying the views from the
Empire State Building.
after we had walked many miles.
We mastered taking the subway,
walked across Central Park and then
walked from the park to the
Metropolitan Museum of Art
Back on the subway
and on to the Empire State building
plus a walk back to our hotel
to freshen up for dinner and Wicked.
Whew, plan on some walking when you visit the city
FIVE
our little Snickers fared quite well
with all the care she received while we were away.
There was no doubt about it though
she was happy to see us return.
~
Thank you for your visits and
sweet and kind comments
while I was away.
Although the month of October
has held times of sorrow for me
it also holds a time of sweet.
Jack and I are celebrating our
sixteenth wedding anniversary today.
Visiting New York City
made for a perfect
anniversary best time for us!
More photos soon.

THREE
Here we are enjoying the walkway on the
High Line
If you are making a trip to the city and
enjoy gardens, sculptures and architecture
this makes for a wonderful visit.
It scored a rousing YES from both of us.
One of my favorite relatively new city sights.
I promise more pictures and
will tell you more about it.
FOUR
Statue of Liberty
I shot this and I like!
I was sitting outdoors
waiting while Jack climbed to the top.
I thought, what a neat frame
and clicked the picture.
The lady stands so regal and welcoming from the front
and from this view too.

Lynne, I have to tell you that the photo of the Statue of Liberty is fabulous. Who ever thinks to take a photo from that viewpoint? So original and nicely framed. Great job! Looks like you had a fun time in the Big Apple..Yes..Way too much walking for me anymore..I guess that's one of the reasons I haven't been back for a visit..My friends can/do still walk a lot..I don't want to put a damper on their routines..Welcome back..I'm sure Snickers is one happy pup..

Love that photo of Miss Liberty Lynne -- unique and I like it too!
Such a fun trip -- will have to backtrack to make sure I didn't miss anything. :)
Happy Anniversary!
Fantastic pictures.
Welcome home! I'm sure your trip was filled with all sorts of amazing memories. I can't wait to see more pictures. Please share lots and lots. Someday, we will take both girls back to the big apple. Such an amazing city.
PS. I love your shot of the Statue of Liberty.
Hi Lynne, I have missed a couple of posts on your New York trip for some reason so I'm going to comment on each one. I loved NYC when I was there for the first time last November but I missed so much. We were only there for 4 days and parts of them were to practice for our choir performance at Carnegie Hall. I want to see the Empire State Building, go to the top of Rockefeller Centre and walk the Skyline. You got a lot done on your visit! You must be so happy you went.
Happy Belated Anniversary!
And I love your shot of the Lady.
