How Fast It Changes . . .

Thursday I was raking and blowing leaves for the final time
Saturday morning we awakened to snow and eighteen degrees.

The snow continued off and on for most of the day and
the cold brought the slippery roads which are not fun at all.

I heard that the colder weather and possible snow was on the way
so I hustled to get the final leaf pick up finished.

The bird feeders are replenished,
one new feeder to add to the others this year
and an tripod purchase so
hopefully I can capture some bird close ups.

Snickers warm coat came out of the closet
and we took off down the road
Saturday morning
for a brisk walk to enjoy the
first snow of the season.

I tie up my grasses in the fall
so it is easier to rake around them
to pick up the leaves.
I think they have made
some cool sculptures
thinking they might be snow geese

and now on to food preparations
for Thanksgiving Day

Happy Thanksgiving

Love

Always so pretty, that first snow. Even better when you can go out and just BE in it.

Enjoy your preparations. : )

Beautiful pictures. We arrived home late last night from FL. Josie was hoping for some snow. Crazy how just a few miles away we're dry. Enjoy your week ahead preparing for family.

Looks magical! Even though I'm not a lover of Winter, there is such beauty if freshly fallen snow!!

Hope you have a great week, and a very Happy Thanksgiving!

Your first snow pictures are lovely. It looks like you are well prepared, I guess you have snow every year.
I live in a very small hamlet in France, we are the only house so when it snows the snow plough very rarely passes our house, which means we can sometimes be cut off for awhile. Enjoy your thanks giving celebrations.

Beautiful winter scenes, wish it was snowing here! I'd forgotten how early snow can arrive in Michigan, we lived there for 3 years over 21 years ago and I really enjoyed the winter season! Didn't enjoy driving in it though! Hoping you have a Happy Thanksgiving surrounded by those you love.

Awesome pics Lynne. Is that a female crossbill or a female pine grosbeak?
