Jack Rabbit, Random 5 Friday . . .

  1. Jack Rabbit has taken up residence right outside the front door.
I walked by the front window and at my eye level, there was this chap.
The banks are very high right now. I can stand inside the house,
look out the windows and feel like I can reach out and touch the shrubs.
I took this photo around six o'clock Thursday evening.

2. We had two glorious sunshiny days this week.
Amazing how that lifts ones spirits.
In fact everyone I talked to was celebrating the sun.
The little things can make us smile.

3. I follow a Gal named Mona.
Some of you may follow her as well.
If you have felt the grief from the death of a loved one,
then you know there are days when nothing much helps the pain and loss.
Sometimes it makes those of us who care feel helpless because
we feel there isn't much we can say or do to let someone know we care.
I know from my own experience that it does help to know people care.
Mona is grieving the death of her daughter Sandy, a year ago this Saturday.
I think Mona would be touched for you to stop by
and send your love and caring.
Mona loves hugs.
How about sending her some hugs, (( )).

4. I am sending a really huge thank you to all of you who follow me.
You oldies and you newbies!
THANK YOU

5. A special thank you to Nancy of A Rural Journal
Join in with others to share your five random thoughts for the day.
Talk about your family, your animals, your hopes and dreams.
You can even talk about a Jack Rabbit.

I wondered what those tracks were that I had been seeing around the house.
What must the animals and birds think with all this
exceptional winter twenty fourteen weather .

Soon I will be looking at my white Annabelle Hydrangeas.
This is where I found the rabbit last night.
Soon he will be hiding under all of those blooms.
Until Next Time,
Love, Lynne

We had a couple of days of sunshine & glorious temps this week! It was the first time since November that I've seen water in liquid form outside.. dripping & sparkling. The power of that sun is fantastic!
Back to cold & snow, but feeling rejuvenated, reminded of what's in store.
I LOVE hydrangeas.. now THAT'S something to look forward to!

Cute bunny, Lynne! The bunny must be a sign spring is coming soon or Easter. We also enjoyed a couple of warmer sunny days. Your hydrangeas are lovely, it will be nice to see them blooming once again. Have a happy weekend!

Oh you are lucky to have Jack Rabbits I have not seen any in years.
You are a good friend I popped over to see Mona and yes HUGS are the best way to send our love and support.
Raining here today with no sun and the snow disappearing fast it makes me a bit sad but it changes so fast I am sure the sun will be out tomorrow.:) Hug B

Cottontail I think, not a jackrabbit. Of course you could be just naming him/her Jack the Rabbit....

Stopping by on R5F. Have a great weekend!

Wonderful five.

The rabbit knows a safe place when he sees it.

Sunshine is good! As long as the sun is shining, I really don't care about the temps.

Wish my hydrangeas had lived. :)

We've had big melts the last few days..almost a foot each day..Funny how the new footprints melt away to expose the old ones..

Sunshine definitely lifts my spirits, too. Your bunny is adorable, and won't it be nice for him (and you) when you can see those beautiful hydrangea bloom!

I've noticed more animal activity in our yard. Chris even spotted deer tracks across the ice rink. Maybe they are having ice skating competitions when we are sleeping. The sun is currently shining even though the winds are howling and the snow continues to drift across the yard. The sun definitely has healing powers. Happy weekend!

Your snow looks a lot like my snow!! I am very ready for this winter to be over and done. Hope you have a good and snowless weekend.

Best,

How sweet that you have little bunnies running around to look at out your window. Have a great week-end.

Hi Lynne, I've only ever seen a jack rabbit at full speed running in my headlights. Yours looked astonishingly small all nestled by your window! I'll be sure to drop a hug by for Mona (as we are also grieving for a niece-in-law who passed this month). I can hardly wait for summer and blooms as beautiful as your stunning Hydrangeas! Hang in there, don't put away the woolens yet!

Stopping by from Random 5, and yes, I am grateful, too, for Nancy and the Random 5 fun. Your pictures are great and I will stop by and say hello to Mona.

Little bunnies are so nice to look at. It is too cold and the snow banks are still very high for any cute animal to visit us in the yards.

What an adorable little rabbit! Oh, I love hydrangeas, never had one to do well down in our area. I'll hop over and see Mona, she is a dear.
Have a great day!

I enjoyed your random 5...sometimes the little things in life are the best things. Our snow is almost gone and I am loving it...

Oh your little rabbit is so cute and I bet he will enjoy the hydrangea blooms much more then the snow. We haven't had much sun lately, lots of overcast skies but I do agree it sure makes you feel happier when it does come out.

Yes, we have had a couple days of sun, and I must admit it does make you feel better and then seeing your beautiful hydrangeas were a definite welcome sight.

Hi Lynne! We had sunshine today and it was warm - mid-40s - which felt amazing. I think our weather in Maine has been much like yours this winter. I was surprised to see your Jack Rabbit in the snow. Brrrr! Thanks for your lovely comments on my blog. It's nice to make your acquaintance, and I've added yours to my reader. Have a wonderful weekend!

Lynne, good photo of the rabbit and my heart goes out to Mona. These past 2 weeks have been terrible, the weather and all the other happenings have weighed me down with grief. It never seems to be very far away.

Thank you, Lynne. There is just no way I can express to you how this made me feel..it is beyond words.
I haven't been visiting..or posting much..and just now realized you had thought of me like this. There just are no words. None..
I love you dearly...and I thank you from the very bottom of my heart.

We have a rabbit regular that comes by to see if the birds and squirrels left anything to eat. It's amazing the difference a little bit of sunshine makes. Flowers!
