To The Lakeshore . . .

 Lake Michigan
in the winter
everyone else has the same idea
third sunny day in a row
with camera, cell phone, winter gear
to the lakeshore we will go

kite flying
x-country skiers
snow shoeing
hiking
 ice skating
luge runs

miles and miles
blue, clouds, sunshine
 frozen lake
clumps of icy sand
snow piles
high banks

February Ending

until next time
Love, Lynne

Hello Lynne:

What wonderful images. Here we have had an exceptionally mild winter with little in the way of normal falls of snow. We somewhat envy you this very impressive, and doubtless cold, landscape.

Beautiful images of a beautiful day! I love the look of the lakeshore against the sunny sky! It's funny how nice weather is all relative. We had temps in the 40s this weekend, and it seemed that everyone was out on their porches enjoying the "warmth". We saw a family in the park (still covered with about 2 feet of snow) enjoying a picnic lunch. I'm like that, tot, just need to be outdoors :-)

I've never imagined flying kites in winter - I love it!
We traveled along much of Lake Michigan last May, I loved the sand dunes - we stopped along scenes that look just like the ones in your photos here. You don't see that kind of shore on Lake Superior, which is the Great Lake I've been acquainted with all my life. All dramatic rocks on our north shore.
Thanks for sharing the winter beauty!

Lynne, what a beautiful area. The sky and beach are lovely. Looks like a habitat for the Snowy owl. Wonderful series of photos. Have a great evening!

Hi Lynne!

Saw you won the give-away at TexWisGirl and that you were from Michigan. Me too! Where in Michigan do you live? We have a cottage in Harbor Springs. You have a lovely blog by the way. Always fun to meet a fellow Michigander! Cheers, Margie
