Pat Me On The Back . . .

driveway tunnel
 check out the banks
on the way to the front door

yellow snow area below

No doubt you'll remember the snowy photos I showed you yesterday.
Well, let me tell you, although I didn't get out and measure the snow fall we had,
I think about ten inches fell in our area within twenty four hours.
The weather people in our area may not have those inches in their totals
but I can attest to a bunch of snow here on riverwood!.

We seem to have been in a snow lane this winter
because when the lake affect snow comes in
it seems to dump extras right here into our lane!

It really was a beautiful snow,
shiny, diamond, crystal like, fluffy and light.
(And I am so over having anymore fall at all, . . . over, over, over.)

Mr.Irish is out of  town for a few days
so the task of snow removal became my job this morning.
I was out there at seven am to shovel the
driveway, sidewalk, yellow snow area and the bird feeding trails.

Did you hear me say . . .  shovel.
Indeed, three hours worth.
The banks are too high for the snow blower
to blow the snow over.

Great exercise but very cold to boot, ten degrees..

Okay, I am finished whining!

Snickers says yay, shoveling is finished, I need a cuddle.
TTFN
'til next time
Love, Lynne

Snickers has the right idea of what to do when the snow piles up!! We woke to a dusting of new snow but it still continues. There is, maybe, three inches more. I'm making soup. Then I'll curl up with a good book and, probably, a dalmatian.

Best,
Bonnie

Wow, my friend! You really have been hit hard with winter this year. It reminds me of Colorado at 5,200 feet last year. I hope you get a break soon. I'm pretty impressed with your shoveling. Snickers looks cute as ever. Hugs, Nancy

I don't have any snow compared to there.

Great job. Wonder how many flakes you shoveled? That would be a huge number!

Stay safe. Maybe this will be the last.

I think you did a great job shovelling out the walk and driveway. I used to do that but the snowblower does a better job and I don't handle that machine at all. Murray uses a big scoop to widen the driveway after he blows it out. It makes it wider and easier to throw snow. I noticed you have shrubs along your walk way so a snow blower might chew them up eh? Snickers looks adorable. She is so photogenic. Have a nice rest Lynne and hopefully that's the end of that.

It is getting harder and harder to shovel with no place left to put it. The streets got plowed yesterday, depositing chuncks of ice in a big pile at the end of the drive - that was fun! Hope you had a nice warm drink after all that work :-)

Lynn, I am impressed! That looks like an amazing amount of work. Oh I hope you can move tomorrow. Hugs to Snickers! Cup of tea, warm fire, good book...you deserve it.

Wow, Lynne! Those banks are pretty high. I do not think there will be a water shortage in your area.. I guess the shoveling does help keep you fit and trim.. Love the cute Snickers, Waiting to be cuddled.. Adorable doggie. Have a great evening.

Good grief! Be careful out there lifting all that snow with a shovel. At least it was a lighter, fluffy snow, but still.

Hi Lynne and Snickers:

That's a very cute pup there, and he certainly has the right idea of how to deal with winter.

We are due for sleet and rain tomorrow, got some new snow today. Will it ever end?

Oh Lynne more snow, It seems like your well equipped with snow ploughs & blowers, & you must have one heck of a big shovel. Well done you, I hope that's the last. Does it thaw gradually ? I can't imagine the mess it must leave. Pop over to visit me my Spring flowers might help to cheer you up.

You crazy girl. You guys got a ton again, we had maybe a couple inches, which is fine by me.

Wow, you are one tough lady to shovel all that snow. I think my heart would have given out after just the walk. And yeah, Snickers needs some extra cuddles!! What a sweetie!

Snickers looks about as impressed as my Braxton was when I made him go for a walk today in the snow. Great job shoveling... we can't do ours as it packed down so much during the time we were away you can't put a shovel to it
