Postcard Collection
notice the year 1910 in amongst the grapes and garland,
tears dripping down and blowing the bubbles
bringing in the year 1911
one of my VERY favorite postcards
I found back in the eighties
and this one,
with the four leaf clovers, horse shoe,
snowy church steeple scene
New Year Greetings
which has the December 29, 2011 postmark
and the US postage
one cent stamp on the back
Wishing Each Of You

Happy New Year Lynne! Hope it's a good one! :)
I have a great fondness for old post and postmarked stamps.. so this post delights me! I have several WWI era post cards from my great grandfather in France.. treasures.
This year I decided to create a classic postcard as our Christmas greeting.. I loved the nostalgia of them (and it saved nicely on postage cost!)
Happy New Year, Lynne. I wish you and your family all the best on 2015. The old postcards are so sweet. I especially like the one with the horse shoe.
Those old postcards are just the cutest! I love the sweet themes on vintage postcards like this. I wish you and Jack a very healthy and happy new year. Hugs. Pam

And back in 1911 one cent meant a lot more than it does now! Enjoyed these photos. Thanks and happy New Year.
