Joining Saturday's Critters,
I have just a couple for you.
We have many black squirrels around here this year
and this one is a very dark coal color.
The male Cardinal is
as handsome as can be in his signature red coat.

I am sure many of you think
that fluffy black squirrel
is sweet and adorable.
He and the rest of the squirrel population visiting the feeders
are fun to watch, but they sure are messy.
I put a food mixture out for them
but that isn't enough,
the more I feed them,
the more they want!
the more they want!
They attack all the feeders with a vengeance.
tossing seeds all over place.
You can see what a mess I will have when

springtime cleanup arrives
I really don't mind,
I enjoy my critter families.
Each day there is something different going on.
I put fresh suet out today
and the woodpeckers were the first ones to notice.

Thanks Eileen, for sponsoring
I am sorry I am so late joining in.

Until next time,

coal is cute sitting atop that 'spin' aka 'finger rassling' feeder. :) i know red is much less messy.
I've never seen a black squirrel Lynne …. we only have grey and red squirrels and there aren't many red ones left. Beautiful photographs. XXXX
Hello Lynne, I love your critters.. The Black Squirrel is pretty and I love the Cardinal.. It is a shame those pesky squirrels are so messy.. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post.. I am happy to see you joining in this week.. Have a happy Sunday!
Cute critters, Lynne! I just love the way the little cardinals "headdress" reaches for the sky! blessings ~ tanna
That squirrel looks plump and well-fed.
Your critters look like my critters..Love the squirrels too but I don't intentionally feed them..Oops..missed Saturdays critters!!
Black squirrels are beautiful. Very rare around these parts. Cardinals always make me smile.
You are right, squirrels are fun to watch, but they are rascals. Don't really see black ones around here.
The black squirrels and bright red cardinals add to the beauty of a new fallen snow.
oh the cardinal! so beautiful...
and oh the squirrels! I get so mad at them.
one of them knocked down and broke our bird feeder. grrrrrr....

I had a squirrel in my very empty feeder last week. I have not filled it for more than a year. They must be desperate.
