Snowy Good Fences . . .

January 7, 2015
Lots of Snow
Brave soul, Mister IGH,
took these Snowland Fence photos for me today,
while he was out and about on snowy roads.
Just in time for
~
You might have heard about the
forty car pile up in Michigan today on the NBC evening news.
It happened ten minutes from our home.
Roads were closed for over four hours, several were injured.
Fortunately Mister IGH wasn't driving in this area.

I am fortunate I don't have to face a daily drive on
icy roads, or in white out blizzard conditions.
I can stay at home, look out the windows, watch the snow fall,
go for winter walks and read books.

Many of the schools have been closed
as well as events and businesses.
Predictions for tomorrow, January 8 are for
accumulating snow, up to twelve inches along the lake shore.

My goodness...your area sure knows how to get SNOW...it's beautiful on the trees and fences and I would be in the house with you, eating, drinking tea and napping...:)
Kudos to your hubby for the great photos..and I'm sure glad he wasn't out in the middle of that pileup.

Oh it is so beautiful and so very hard to drive in. We had a 40 car pile up near us last weekend it is very scary. Enjoy your time snuggled in your home and your wonderful view. Hug B

Yes, I did hear about that horrible accident. The charming photos make me almost like the snow. If it were a bit warmer, I'd like to be inside those shots, riding in a horse-drawn sleigh. Wouldn't that be fun!

Snow can make some of the most beautiful sights, but so glad we do not get anything like this in Texas.

Beautiful fences in the wintery landscape. It looks like winter has arrived there for you with all the snow you're getting now. Here, it's just frigid. :)

I saw that pileup on the news. Very scary. I barely missed one of those a few years ago when all of a sudden there was a fog bank in front of me.I was going slow enough that I could pull over to the side. In that fog bank were eight cars.
Beautiful pictures Lynne.Love the snowcapped posts on the fence.

Gorgeous pictures. This has been a nail biting week of winter driving. I'm always relieved when I hear the news that my young driver has made it to her school destination and home again each night.

Oh wow that is a lot of snow. I'm glad you don't have to be out in it. When we get snow I'm always thankful if I don't have to be out driving in it.

Your hubby got some great photos. I really like that first one, so pretty.

So happy you are safe. Feel really sorry for anyone who has to be out in this miserable cold but to have a wreck .. that's just too much.

I was in that killer storm...left Sun morning for Grand Rapids, MI. spent the night outside Toledo, drove, white knuckled to just outside Grnd Rpds and then back to Perrysburg, OH. left again Wed morning, made it to Beckley, WV and home by noon yesterday. almost 1,300 miles, most of it in snow, ice, wind and towing a Shasta camper. Brutal! I saw half dozen tractor trailers slid off the road, several flipped! stopped counting the cars...just too many. Thank GOD He kept me safe!
your husbands' photos are beautiful, my hat's off to him for driving in that huge storm.

I'm glad you didn't have to drive in it! I did hear about the accident and thought of friends and family in Michigan. Stay safe! Like you, I'm trying not to go out unless I have to. Now I'm worried about my daughter, who should be driving home from work about now. It's cold and we just got a few more inches of snow. Brrr...

Oh, winter wonderlands and wicked roads!
My hubby had to pull someone WAY out of the ditch on his way home from work this evening.. he said they were very lucky not to have rolled.
Glad you are all safe and that you're warm and comfy where you can enjoy how pretty it is. :)
