Winter Walking . . .

Each day, out I go, in rain and snow . . .
If it is really icy
I walk inside the house
or find a mall or a big box store
for my walking venue.

I had been lax,
finally I am back with it.

YakTrax on my feet
tracker on my wrist
 out I go

walking is an easy way to burn some calories
want to join me?

counting my steps, strive for ten thousand steps each day
neighbors walking the busy road
my favorite scene I walk by each day
~
see you soon,
Love, Lynne

I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED, this post. Not sure exactly why it hit me..but it did. Something about the scene you walk by every day..it's just glorious!! I was raised in snow country and have never gotten over missing it.
AND, it was also seeing your face. There is something very special about seeing favorite people that you write to and hear from. It's just knowing that you are out there, I guess.

You are good to get out and about everyday. I certainly would join you if I lived near you as I need a walking companion! Snow looks lovely. Be careful.

Loved seeing where you walk. I love to see the snow but so glad we don't have it for weeks/months on end. After our sprinkling of snow we had freezing temp. so it's not been walking conditions here, very slippy ! Good on you to keep up your walking everyday, even in doors & come rain or shine. We have blue sky this morning so I'll go for a walk along my lane. Enjoy your week & Take care.

good for you! i do walk a lot. i don't have to put up with your weather conditions, though. still, the last couple of months i did more exercise on the machine inside and am just now getting back out onto the driveway more regularly. :)

There is nothing quite as refreshing as a winter walk.

It's easy to walk when you have so many beautiful scenes..I walk Mollie 40 min every morning and almost that long in the afternoon..20 min before bed..She loves being outside..

Wow, that's dedication! I'll be glad when it's a bit warmer and the roads aren't snow covered and slippery. Walking in the house is for the birds (not literally). :-)

You are dedicated, Lynne! We are in the middle of more bad weather here....ice storm this time around. It's a terrible excuse, but I don't walk in this weather! :)

I see why you walk... beautiful countryside.

It is so hard to walk outside in the winter! Our road is just horrid. And that darn treadmill is a bore! Your views are great! I have been thinking of buying some kind of tracking device. Sure makes you more accountable!

Good for you! It's been way to cold to walk out here in the country most days but we did a little walk to our son's yesterday. It felt good to get out. I have to drive half an hour to the mall to walk so that's out. I'd end up shopping to make the trip worth my while. LOL I try to get on the treadmill a few times a week too. Now if I could just stop eating the wrong foods!

I did a lot of walking today in some flea markets/antique shops. I admire you for walking out in the snow and cold!

Mother Nature teased us here this past Sunday with a lovely 68 degree, sunny day. Yes, I spent it outside! Today, it's grey, rainy and cold again. I'm glad I spent my Sunday well!

We try to get a walk in every day. No malls or big box stores here. Well, does Safeway count? I guess I could power walk around the shoppers and their carts. :) Love that last photo. . .beautiful scene. Hugs, Nancy

Oh your a brave soul to walk. Love your blog and your fence.

You will be healthy more walking added each day as you say.

Just be careful the under toe of the ice. It plays tricks on us.

It's going to be a bitter walk this weekend. You have permission to stay cozy indoors! I do love a good winter walk though!!
