Saturday's Critters . . .

there truly is a critter in there
Yellow Finch
rainy, humid, hazy, foggy, day
taking a picture through the window

here are some winter finches, yes, that is snow in the background

a hummingbird flying in to the feeder
not magnificent like the critter pictures most of you post
but I was happy to catch this little one
through the window while flying in for some nectar

and then there is this one
one of my better shots
on a sunny, snowy day this past winter
~
I had the above Critter post written and ready to post
and then tonight we went for a ride back into a dune and wooded area
near Lake Michigan and we saw many deer
It appeared that they were coming
out near the road for food that had been set out.
My husband said that is not supposed to be happening.
because of the Do Not Feed the Deer Ordinances in this area.
(I was happy I was able to catch a few pictures though to add here.)

~
that's it for me
I'll be back in a few days
Thanks Eileen for hosting.
And to each of my visitors,
a sincere thank you for stopping by!

I LOVE your photo's of the cardinals...they are amazing. If you look back...never mind. I will see if I can find him. I took a picture of a lovely golden hawk perched on my front porch wicker chair that would be gorgeous for your "critter" day.
Help yourself to any of my pictures of animals..also there is the possum with her babies all over her back on my back fence. :)

Love the deer!
I know how hard it is to get Hummingbird photos - they fly so fast!

Great finch, deer and cardinal pics..The Hummers are really tough to get..Mine come in from the other side of the feeder so I can only get the tippy tops of their heads..Enjoy your weekend..Drizzly here on and off..At least the sun isn't out..that's good..

My comment came through even thought I recieved an email that it did not.
GREAT!
You have deer? They come on your property..even being able to drive close by and seeing them is wonderful..they are beautiful creatures.
Back roads...how great that must be. They built homes on ALL our backroads..just about. Now I look up on Eagle Mountain and it's full of homes! You did a great job of capturing wildlife.

Beautiful photos, as always. I shuddered when I saw the one with all the snow - but it was such a perfect shot.

Hi Lynne, I enjoyed seeing all your critters. The cardinals are especially pretty in the midst of all the white snow! I have to say that the snow looks so good today as it's just so very hot and humid after the rain ended! Never thought I'd say that! lol!
