A Great Evening . . .

I spent a great evening at the

Spring Lake Library

a few nights ago.

Award winning Bob Friese created four fall arrangements and a wreath.

He is a talented artist, had many great ideas and was entertaining too!

Natural gardens plants like Cotoneaster, Oak Leaf Hydrangea leaves, Pumpkin,

Lentin Rose leaves, Pachysandra, Pencil Cattails, Pheasant Feathers, Apples,

Cedar, Spray Roses, Mums, Corn Flower Stems, Kale, Beech leaves

were just some of the items used in the arrangements.

I found the evening much more fun then moving Oak leaves around in the wind!

~

Until next time,

Love ~ Lynne

These are beautiful arrangements. When I was in high school I worked at a florist shop on holidays and weekends and always enjoyed watching the ladies style the arrangements. Have a great weekend Lynne.

I have always thought that it would be fun to work in a florist's shop, arranging the pretties. I enjoy doing it in my own home! Maybe someday!

Wow, these are fabulous! I would just love seeing someone pull these together -- all the elements he included are perfect!

These are wonderful!
I love that libraries offer these fun creative learning opportunities. We are loving our library up this fall, enjoying the time indoors as it gets colder, nurturing our creativity in the dark evenings.

What a lovely evening you must have had, seeing all those original arrangements being created. many years ago I joined a flower arranging group, and learned so much, which I will never forget, a few tricks of the trade, how to make flowers bend in the direction you want. I then started a small business from home making & selling arrangements with dried flowers, all the rage back in the 80's. Still very popular here in my part of France.

Hi Lynne...
My youngest daughter trained to be a floral designer...I learned a lot from her!
Looks very informative...now....get out there and rake! Hahaha!
I did just that for 2 days at the cottage....blisters and all!
Enjoy your week...
Cheers!

Definitely much prettier than moving oak leaves around too!
