Family Christmas Days . . .

 

the past week has been a swirl

Fondue on Christmas Eve
veggies, steak, granny's homemade meatballs
around the table family gathering
Suzie, Mike, Tyler, Jordon, Linda, Mike Sr, Jack, Lynne
a tradition which began in Wisconsin in nineteen sixty nine
this tradition came with us when we moved to Michigan
daughter Suzie, son in law Mike
have hosted our gathering for the past fifteen years

Christmas Cookies
grandson Jordon and his girlfriend McKenna
helped me decorate
boxed up a few of the cookies for Jordon to give to his mom
I enjoyed this decorating time with them very much
little miss growing up twenty month old baby great grand
enjoyed santas car and phone surprise
and many other presents too
december twenty six family dinner/gift night at our house
recent culinary school graduate granddaughter amanda
in the kitchen where she is most comfortable
she has a new job as a chef at a German restaurant
exciting schnitzel times for her
my suzie and husband mike relaxing after dinner
soon to be first time parents, grandson cody and his elise
amanda and my son scott
waiting to play a gift exchange game
what is this you say
typical clowning around selfie fun from my son scott
daughter in law sue is in the mix there too
the doll face is a ventriloquist doll I found at a shop/garage sale many years ago
scott has had fun with that thing and entertained many through the years
he went on a hunt in the house, found the doll
and entertained us all
jammie time for great grand Oakland
she was wired and silly by this time
wonderful days together

Hi dear friend...it was crazy but you and I are so lucky to have our families..I had a fantastic time..there were only 25 of us and 25 were missing but it was fun. My daughters and daughter in law did all the work..but mostly daughter Erin about worked her little self to death.

Do come visit us if you ever get back out to California and we will have dinner at the Mission Inn. :)
