Mission Impossible . . .

I drove out to the
Big Lake
today
(that is what we call Lake Michigan)

I was looking for some fences
not much luck at all

there really is a fence in that top picture
way, way, way
beyond that yellow sign dot

that was as close as I could get
plenty of snow has fallen this week

mission impossible for fences in view on the lake front though

I lucked out on the way back
with a pic of this fence along
one of our new walking trails which was installed this past year

and I found this pretty white fence
against a white house
amidst the white snow
~
we missed the storm east of us
but we have enjoyed
snow each day since this past Saturday
we are all white once again

sunshine predicted for the weekend
~
linking today with
Good Fences

see you all in a few
Love, Lynne

I see the fences!

It is snowing a little here but we have ice.

I'm ready for spring.

We got our first real snow this morning. So much that most work places and schools are closed

I rarely see the big lakes in winter. How forbidding! And I've always wanted a picked fence. It just wouldn't look right in my 'hood but I'd love one!

I'm anxious to get the girls to the big lake this winter. It's been a good week for ice making in our backyard. Nice and cold. The girls and I enjoyed an after-dinner skate last night. Looking forward to some sunshine this weekend!!

Beautiful sight, but so thankful we do not get snow like that in Texas.

White on white. Lovely. A trip to any body of water is worthwhile. xo

It looks much more wintery there than it does here but it feels very wintery here. Going down to -18 (zero) tonight and the frigid wind is still blowing.

Such an expanse of snow and space is wonderful to me. I'm all crowded in with people on all sides of me. Planted tree's to block out some of it and it's working..sort of. How beautiful it all is!! Ahhh..you found a fence! Good for you, Lynne! Great hunting! :)

That's a lot of "white" snow there. - The house and white picket fence look very pretty. The walking trail was my favorite shot here today. Stay warm.

Oh the lake looks so cold this time of year! Pretty pictures of white! Our snow will probably be gone this weekend if the temps stay in the high 30's.

Ah, the Big Lake! Wish I were there. :)
A little sun here today, too.. and a warm up after frigid weeks of skin biting cold.

I am happy to see how much melted this weekend while we were away in Traverse City, where they have more than we do.
