Saturday's Critters . . .

the entrance to the

Frederick Meijer Gardens

is filled with

bins and pots and baskets of

Beautiful Spring Flowers

my daughter Sue, mother in law "GG" Linda,

great granddaughter Oakland and "GG" me

took of for the gardens during one of our

"spitty" snowy "sprinwinter" weather days, this past week during

Spring Break Mania

two great grand oldies

one granny and one, almost two year old

we joined many hundreds of

mothers, dads, grandparents, children and babies

and forty five hundred strollers, backs packs and diaper bags

and oh yes . . . one furry bear

we were all there to witness the beautiful

BUTTERFLIES

difficult to catch them in flight but here are my pics

if you see small bits of color, (blue especially) here and there, no doubt it is a butterfly

check out the link above to see and read more

this was all a bit overwhelming for our two year old

but she was a trooper

I think she will enjoy this more in a year or two

~

the butterfly garden is just one feature of this gorgeous venue

the outdoor gardens and art exhibits are exceptional

stunning Chihuly was featured at the Meiger Gardens a few years ago

Hello Lynne, even with the crowds it looks like a fun visit to the butterfly garden. Pretty butterflies and lovely captures. Oakland is adorable, I like her cute bear too. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Have a happy weekend!

My favourite kind of outing Lynne!
Family, grandies and gardens!
I tried to bring butterflies into my garden this year, there were a few but I obviously need a greater selection of
butterfly plants. I've got a list for next Spring... downunder!

I can tell you didn't shoot these fabulous photos last night or this morning! Not enough white!

I much prefer the beautiful colors here -- and all the love in those faces!

The butterfly area is sometimes overwhelming for this 47 year old. At least the butterflies are inside.

Well, if this trip doesn't inspire one to garden, then nothing will. Oakland is getting so big!
