My Day . . .

mister irish is reading his papers . . .
i mowed the yard yesterday . . .
by the way, great purchase, i love my new mower/tractor

for me it's the little things . . .

reading the paper, not so much,
walking around the yard, weeding, snipping, tweaking,
my kind of day

today . . . "let me be aware of the treasure you are"

get ready for photo overload
this also helps me keep track of my plantings from year to year
thank you before hand
for visiting

cone flowers ready to bloom

why hibiscus does well in our shady space i haven't a clue

fake bunnies and real bunnies live here

annabelle hydrangeas bloom in every corner

huge norway spruce was removed last year,
roots and stump gone,
getting ready to extend the border,
reline the brick,
replace the sod into this bare spot

i love to do projects like this . . . really!

many varieties of grasses

day lilies

ferns and moss

snow on the mountain

yellow finch high in the tree

snickers watching . . .
she likes her "peeps" sitting down reading papers, writing posts
then she knows it is a stay at home day

back yard

garden house

side yard

front yard . . . treasured hemlock tree,
i treat it tenderly, twenty five years old

lots of boston ivy

love how the hemlock branches droop and drape

yellow flowers are finished blooming, not sure of their name,
also a mix of poppies, pine here

front corner

crocosmia corner, brought here from ireland,
almost ready to bloom, bright orange/red flower

white pine, michigan tree, several in yard,
I brought saplings in from the woods behind the house
many years ago and planted them throughout the yard . . .
now these pines are massive

the birdies love the bird baths

bitter sweet vine, wrapped around a very old oak tree
bamboo wind chimes make a beautiful sound on a breezy day

that is it
i am doing this post on the porch
as i was sitting here a baby bunny was in the grassy area of the yard, nibbling away
i tried to get a picture without much luck
so you get a "flip flop" view from the porch
~
love and peace

maybe it is a message for me

you have such a lush yard! i remember returning to wisconsin quite a few summers ago and being stunned by how lush it is/was. i had forgotten after all these summers in texas.

i like stay at home days, too, snickers!

I love looking at your yard...never too many pictures. I think about the winter when there is only snow to peek at. Keep the flowers coming!

It sounds like the perfect way to spend the weekend! You have certainly made a big difference on your property. Nicely done! It has been a pleasant summer here, too. Warmer than "normal," but that's wonderful by me. :)

That's my favourite sort of day too. I love to get to stay home and focus on my garden and house. Your garden is really lovely - and that garden house is beautiful! I hope you get to spend as much time as you like in your garden this week.

Your garden is beautiful Lynne and such a variety of plants. It takes a lot of hard work to get it like that so I salute you !!! Enjoy every beautiful minute of it. XXXX

Little things turn into big things. Like spreading good and kindness. Like planting a few seedlings and treasures from Ireland and watching them grow into beauty. Like weeding and mowing and planting Annabelles in every corner and before you know it (or 26 years) we all get to enjoy the pictures of your gardens.
Lovely!

Your garden isn't any little thing! It's pretty big and extra spectacular! I wonder if my hydrangeas will be out when I get home from the lake. Seeing your gorgeous flowers gives me hope!

Your yard amazes me. Me - I am looking for dune grass next house - no mowing!
