Gates and Fences . . .

Muskegon, Michigan

Jefferson Street

a street well known for its

beautiful, older, homes

built during the days of

Muskegon's

booming lumber industry

many white picket, rod iron fences and gates

I happened to be in the neighborhood

and I took some pictures

(no help from hubs or neighbor this time)

Happy Fall Days My Friends
take some time to see the
changing color of the trees

White picket has always been a fav of mine. Odd that of the 6 fence types we have here on Lindenberry, white Picket is not one of them.
Happy Fall!

You always find a wonderful collection of homes to share with us. I'm definitely ready for fall activities. We've got Halloween decorating starting with our full-sized Halloween tree at our house.

I'd love a closer look at all of those beautiful houses beyond their fences and gates! What a gorgeous street that must be. -Jenn

These older houses AND fences have so much character! Very nice photos for good fences!

You've chosen an important topic for your post: fences.
The right fence can improve the look of a house, give it character. Fences ensure privacy, set boundaries, enclose properties.
I've enjoyed looking at the fences presented in your post.

I was at Muskegon once - it was a ferry that left Milwaukee to Muskegon and back again. I was 16 and there was a polka band on board. I will always remember that trip with my dad. I didn't get to see much of the town but it has lovely houses and fences.

I've always loved white picket fences, Lynne, but in the more recent past I've found the beauty in wrought iron. Sad thing is I have a little 8 pound dog. Although she is a little overweight, I don't doubt she might squeeze through!! Silly worries.

Thank you so much for your recent visit and thoughtful words. And your compliments. I hope you visit again soon. I'd like to keep the conversation going about women, choices, hopes and dreams. It helps to share.

Your list is all of the things I love about fall as well. Summer was so stifling this year and fall makes me feel free once again. xo
Pretty fence photos today!

Looks like a wonderful place, I don't think I've ever been there.

(Unless it was when I was real little, that is.)

Nice to read your list of lovely Fall things. It is the best time of the year, in my humble opinion :)

Missed catching up with you, and I'm happy that things are slowing down, and I have time for blogging again..**smile**.

Have a lovely weekend, my friend.

We have only 1 grand left in high school and she is in the band so we go to all the events close to home to support her.
