Our Little Critter . . .

it has been fairly quiet here
since the thirty first
when our little
Snickers
had complicated hernia surgery
momma and pops were nervous twits
but she really did just fine
she is beginning to feel a bit more herself
and is getting anxious to get back
to her morning walks
like they say
you can't keep a good dog down

linking with saturday's critters

thanks eileen

Hello Lynne, I am so glad your sweet Snickers is ok after the hernia surgery! I would have been nervous too, you are a good momma to your furbaby! Adorable photos. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend!

Luckily my dog has avoided most surgeries. She's had a broke leg, been fixed, and had to get fish hooks taken out of her mouth when she broke into a locked tacklebox of my late father's.

I love nervous twits when it comes to their pets. We just love them, don't we. I'm happy to hear things are getting back to normal.

Lynne...we are going through a similar thing..only it's not going well. Mele' is fighting and I'm doing a lot of crying but all we can do is hope for the best. It's touch and go day by day. She had surgery to remove a "tumor" or we think that is what it is...we had her chipped a few years ago and a lump formed there but now there is NO chip..no signal and upon inspection..NO chip! It's a mystery. She was already ill and not eating when they removed the lump. Calling the Vet as soon as they open on Monday. She isn't even walking...a terrible time for me.

p.s. I had to smile when I read how nervous you both were. Snickers being on the road to recovery gives me hope. They are such little fur babies...it's awful when they are ill. Frightening.

Sheesh! I MEANT to say that Howard and I are the same way about Mele" Hovering over her every move.

She really is a cutie, and I'm glad she's feeling better! And I know just how you feel, did you get any sleep at all when she came home that first night?? :-)

Get well wishes to Snickers! She's so darned cute -- and she (and you) have had a bit of a tough year! I'm glad she came through it well.

So nice of you to drop by my blog and leave a comment. I have a little 12 year old Boston Terrier. I've grown so attached to him with my illness....I would miss him too. Glad your little friend is recovering.
