Flip Flop . . .

one day it is grey . . .
the next sunny . . .
back and forth we go . . .
unusual february . . .
thank goodness for some good books . . .
I just finished The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry . . .
delightful read . . . I found myself smiling often . . .

we are looking forward to a night of theater saturday evening . . .
the best of second city . . .
and in a few weeks we have tickets for a musical evening . . .
mister irish is great at planning . . .

my kind of planning has more to do with greens and flowers . . .
these tulips cheered up the kitchen . . .
if you look closely you'll see a bit of the outdoor grey in the window edge . . .

Going Gently invited us to share favorite quotes a few days ago . . .
I have many favorites, here are two I mentioned . . .

"The only thing you actually have to know,
is the location of the library." ~ alfred einstein

and words I found handwritten on an 1887 postcard . . .

"Friendship is the best college of which you can graduate."
July 8, 1887, Geertje D. Swygman

how about you . . . any favorites . . .

LOL! You know I love a good quote... or two... or... ;) Lynne, that vase is so beautiful with the tulips... and the echos of gray. Make you want to get out your paints??? ;) I love both your quotes and am just too lazy to get up from my cozy nest and coffee to find one at this moment. So, I'm borrowing yours, too. ;) blessings and hugs ~ tanna
ps looks like you have some good fun in store!

Tulips are the promise of spring!! I read that book with my Muse book group a few years ago. We all loved it.

Best,

Love the colorful tulips! They always lift the spirits which can be so glum in February. Our weather is the same, ranging from days in the 20's to the low 80's. Just weird is all I can say about that.

The Albert Einstein quote reminds me of a friend who uses what the local library has to offer quite often.... and my daughter who takes the grandchildren there often. It helps to mold and create healthy brains.

Lovely ways to spend the dark days of February ...... well, they are dark and usually dismal in the UK !!!!
Have a good time at the theatre. XXXX

Our weather is wacky, too. It was 65 degrees (a record) last Wednesday and then snowed 10 inches on Thursday. It's still here, but will probably melt this weekend when it hits 50 again. Oh boy. It's been sunny for a few days, so that's the silver lining. And tulips help! ;) Enjoy yours.

Sunny and in the 50's here today. Even if it's just a random day, I'll take it after the winter we've had. Your tulips are beautiful, and I love that vase! xo

Those tulips look fabulous! They're one of my favorites and especially (oddly enough) in winter -- I think they remind me of spring, which this day does as well! Good book list!

Oh how I love tulips. I feel inspired to check for some at Trader Joe's because they always have beautiful flowers right where you walk in the front doors. I also have a frog sitting behind my kitchen sink. There is something about frog art that is just delightful to my eye.
