RHAPSODY . . .

I love it when friends share their critter pics . . .
and let me share them with you . . .
Nice pair . . . aren't they . . .

I can claim this one . . .

friends . . . bill, julie, missy, john, eileen, bev, joan & many more . . .
brighten me with critter pics time and time again . . .

Linking up with Eileen, Saturday's Critters . . .
Happy chilly, "spring ahead" weekend . . .

Love ~
Lynne, Snickers too . . .

LITTLE DOGS RHAPSODY IN THE NIGHT
she puts her cheek against mine
and makes small, expressive sounds.
And when I'm awake, or awake enough

she turns upside down, her four paws
in the air
and her eyes dark and fervent.

"Tell me you love me, " she says.

"Tell me again."

Could there be a sweeter arrangement?
Over and over
she gets to ask.
I get to tell.

I've met a good many Mary Oliver poems, but not the Dog's Song. I wonder if I could find a Sheep's Song?!

Love all the pictures, but Snickers takes the cake. looks pretty comfy sprawled out on the couch with the blanket.
What would we do without these precious animals in our lives.

I really love your photos - Cardinals are among my favorites. I always make sure I refill the feeders in the late afternoon for them because they are there to the very end, and come first in the morning.

I also love the verse, it's perfect for the photo of Snickers!

Hi Lynne, Sure enjoyed your photos in this post. Love the red birds! And the critters too! :-) Perfect closing with Little Dogs Rhapsody in the Night! In your previous posts: You and GREAT granddaughter are true artists! And the daffodils … great close up shots! Thanks for sharing, Lynne, and thanks for your kind comments on my blog! Wishing you a fine week ahead!

She's just the perfect little pup. Don't you just love how pups love we humans and how they express their happiness when we are nearby. Love that about them.

Thanks for sharing your cardinal couple's photos too! They are our state bird and we really get a lot of them here on our property. They pretty much mate for life and you can hear them calling to one another when their mate is out of sight. Very intune to one another, and they have great parenting skills also! Just the greatest birds imo.
