Off Night . . .

Painting at the Irish House "kitchen studio" last night . . .

My paintings of late, have been in making cards . . .
Last night was an "off" night for me.
I tossed more than I kept.
Those kept ones will get placed in the "learning pile"!
"OFF" times happen in life . . . we can learn from them.

Donna had an "on" night . . .
We call her our Picasso or Rembrandt or . . .
"you are the best!"

Melissa, Donna's daughter painted with us last night . . .
She is A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. . . .
Melissa painted this for her dad for his birthday . . .
He LOVES to fish . . .

And look at this lure . . .

And look at her birds . . .

She is on a roll . . .

Barbie wasn't able to join us last night but here is something springy she painted recently . . .

I painted a few more bunny, flower and carrot cards this afternoon . . .

Time for a break . . .
The predicted snow stayed away . . . at least in our little burg . . .
Michigan received a few clumps of snow East and North of us . . .
Springtime rains this week have greened things up beautifully . . .
No doubt about it . . .
Spring has arrived!
Enjoy the season wherever you are!
Love ~
Lynne

Oh my goodness! You are all so very talented! That is one thing I cannot do--I am not an artist with paints or pencils or markers. So, I have much respect for you! Your work (and your friends' work) looks so professional--like pieces that should be on sale at a shop! Good news: I see that your Irises (the ones you shared with me) are emerging! I'll share photos when they start to bloom. Thanks! :)

Hello, Lynne! I love all the cards, your bunny and carrots are wonderful. I love the fish, lure and the cute birds. YAY for spring. We are having a chilly spring, maybe even a passing snow shower. Happy Friday, enjoy your day and weekend!

Lynne, so much talent and beautiful work. I especially love the cardinal! As for off times, we can learn from them if we choose to.

Loved looking at your paintings. Great job. Watercolors are the one paint I have not taken up. I do oils and acrylics! Watercolor looks so pretty and fun to do. I might have to give that a try. Thanks for sharing.

Some of us have off weeks, months and years. So an off night isn't bad at all. Your off is still pretty good.

You ladies are all very talented. I think I would join you if I lived closer, but I don't think my painting would be as good...

Oh you make me want to get out my watercolors. It is my favorite medium. I love it all!

That looks like so much fun and the results are beautiful. As is the pottery brush holder...I'm not one to covet but "might" make an exception...smile.

This looks like fun and I am totally inspired...just beautiful. Any bluebird paintings? 💕

Your bunnies and carrots completely capture my heart! I love them! In fact, I love every painting you showed, yours or otherwise!

Don't toss the old cards. Cut off the front and use the other part to test paints or sketches. You probably are doing that anyway but it's a good tip -- they get pricey and it helps to have sample sheets in the paper you are working on!

The cards are delightful, Lynne! They are a true testament to just following your heart and finding your own creativity. Spring is a good subject for sure...we all want it to get 'hopping'!!

Thanks so much for your comment today...you lift my spirits and compliment me more than I deserve!

Sending a hug and warm Easter blessings,

Jane x
