What Bit Of Wisdom . . .

My youngest grandson graduates from high school on Thursday, the 25th. I spent a bunch of time with him when his mom went back to work a few months after his birth. His other granny spent bunches of time with him too. We were his "Teamed Up Grandparent" childcare.

Jordon has been set on "go" since I can remember. Active, athletic, ready to try anything, hands on little guy, was how he learned from early on. We played cars, trucks, and blocks many a day. Patient Mister Irish built many a block building and trail in those early pre school days. We looked at, plus I read him lots and lots of books early on. We went on many car rides, trips to the "big lake" . . . walking sand dunes. What a sight to see him fly up a sand dune hill. Jordon loved his bikes, motor bike too, plus snowboarding and then his first car. Almost forgot . . . he loved Scoopy Doo . . .

Granny Linda and I both volunteered in his school classrooms until he reached middle school age. Mister Irish and I went to probably most of his events. We attended field trips, basketball games, soccer, track and pole vault events.

Lunch out together has been fun . . . For awhile it was Subway . . . and for many years it has been Olive Garden and Chicken Scampi. Jordon loves salad, pepperoncinis, dill pickles, his other granny's broccali. He loves his uncle Tim's chicken wings . . . He likes my chili, special dip, chicken spaghetti . . .

The days, weeks, months, years have flown by. Jordon, eighteen, graduating, going off to college, interested in internet security . . .

I am his granny . . . he is a happy young man, very sweet to me, kind, helpful, loving . . . what bits of wisdom do I tuck under that graduating cap . . .

Keep smiling . . . I love you . . .
I am very proud of you . . . and who you are . . .
Happy Graduation Day . . .

Love ~
granny
