Happenings . . .

Happy News Day here on Riverwood Drive . . .
It rained, a bunch, early evening yesterday.
I think we were reaching a mini drought stage . . .

New asphalt was laid on our roads today . . .
We have been torn up for a few weeks . . .
It looks WONDERFUL . . .
Now to tend to the shut down sprinklers
and re-edging the lawn.

I finally was able to do some of my potting and
gardening things after being laid up
with a back issue for a few weeks.

And then to make this day even better,
a friend and I spent a few hours visiting
and trying some more watercolor painting.

Plus I found a hollyhock photo my friend
Penny sent me for my birthday . . . (been looking for days!)
(Guess what I am going to try painting next . . .)

One more plus . . .
I potted another window like box for my daughter . . .
Fern, with light pink fuchsia is very pretty and the "hummers" enjoy . . .

It's the little things . . . that keep me smiling . . .

What is happening in your world . . .

Your garden is really lovely, and your Fuchsia, which was a favorite when I lived in Alaska, is one of my favorites! It's too hot here in Virginia for them, so I have to live vicariously through people like you who can have them! Your watercolors are also lovely, and I know they will be enjoyed and make you smile when you think of those memories that inspired you to paint them!

Very pretty. I never think to put fuchsia in a window box. What a great idea! -Jenn

I love your watercolors. I think painting water in a vase/jar is hard. Good for you! And the fuschsia is stunning. I know I spelled that wrong.

Lucky you getting rain. A few miles away they got pummelled. We need it badly and not a drop. I don't want to see my water bill this month!
