A Little Bit Of Everything . . .

Our delayed holiday PEDS PARTY 2018 finally took place on Sunday . . .
PEDS . . . whatz’ that, you say . . . we worked together at the hospital in pediatrics . . .
We have been getting together twice a year for 25+ years

Visits, Gifts, Eats, Soup, Sweets . . . made for a wonderful day/evening . . .
Mary, who was host and Char are in the back row . . .
Me, Bettie, Terri in front . . .

Here we are in 2015 . . .

Monday it rained so long and hard I was convinced spring had arrived!
No pictures for proof . . but believe me. . . the snow vanished, puddles everywhere!

Monday is my hospital volunteer day . . . some fresh spring flowers were delivered for an employee
and I had a chance to enjoy them too . . . Winter Color Cheer!

Tuesday morning opened with a light snow and
by the time I left for my walk it had whipped up into a snowstorm!

I feel a different energy during a “snow walk” . . . clicked off 7300 steps this morning . . .
We are all white around here again . . .

Yesterday a friend and I went to see the movie, The Post . . .
Meryl Streep, Tom Hanks, strong cast, the seventies, the press, poignant message for our today . . .
I can get caught up in the “little/big things” . . .
like watching the setting of the type, the press . . . amazing . . .

My week continues with closet, drawer, corners, shelves and rooms of
sorting, cleaning, pitching, recycling . . . sure does feel good . . .

until next time
love
lynne

Hello, it is wonderful you and your co-workers still meet, lovely group of ladies. Wow, 25 years. The flowers are pretty. Our snow has melted, but it is back to being cold again.
Did you enjoy the movie? Happy Thursday, enjoy your day!

Good Afternoon Lynne, How wonderful to meet up with your friends each year. 25 years is such a long time, but I bet it does not feel like that. Time does fly doesn't it.
The bouquet of flowers were lovely and such a treat on this cold winter's day. Your weather is fascinating, I visit and you are knee deep in snow, then the snow vanishes overnight and then before you know it, you are knee deep in snow again. We had snow last week and it was very cold, but I feel it probably was not as cold as your weather. I remember when I visited Natasha in Chicago I was quite shocked by how cold it was.
Today the sun has shone, but still cold. I try to get out and walk my 10,000 steps, but I have to say I do find it difficult when the wind is blowing as it seems to catch my breath. The nights are certainly getting lighter for us, instead of being dark at 3.30pm the day is holding on until 4.30pm.... I cannot wait for the summer evenings, but I must stop saying that and enjoy the moment and not wish my life away, as time is passing much too quickly.
With warmest wishes to you.
Daphne

All that snow! I hate to say we are bare here because I know it goes west to east!

LOVED those flowers and your peds gathering looks like loads of fun. Isn't it wonderful to be with friends like that who share part of a history?

Glad you liked the Post. That's on my list to see, sooner rather than later.

I love that you still get together with these friends. I have had so many jobs along the way and I don't regularly keep in touch with anyone. Here and there...7300? I need to get moving. That's awesome and The Post...I am curious, have not seen it. Have a great weekend. xo

The Post looks good, and we will see it at some point, but probably not until it comes to Amazon. We just never go to the movies anymore, too expensive, especially when we are already paying for Amazon Prime.

Isn't it fun to still get together with our PEDS extended family. It's so nice to remain friends for all these years. I wish we would get some winter white around here. It's snowed, but it's so slight that it's not that pretty stickin' kind that make great photos. Cleaning, sorting etc is on my list...

Looks like a great movie. We are knee deep in snow here, too. Keep warm!
