I will leave you with this thought . . .
One looks back with appreciation to the brilliant teachers, but with gratitude to those who touched our human feelings. The curriculum is so much necessary raw material, but warmth is the vital element for the growing plant and for the soul of the child.

My 70 Inches it a lot of snow. - We had maybe 12-15 during our biggest storm. All of which is gone now. Of course we still have February to get through. Hope you are doing well so far this year.
Hello, We are not where close to your snow amounts. But, we did go from the single digits to 63 in one day. This morning is back to the 30's and a dusting of snow. I love your cardinals, they red color pops. Enjoy you day and weekend.
You have far more snow than we have. Any is too much!
I love all your hungry birds -- they're here too. And I know exactly what you mean about shooting through the dirty window! Ditto!
With so much snow, you have to wonder how the birds even survive! Poor things.
You are getting so much snow, and we waiting for more rain..
stay warm dear..
I miss cardinals in the snow!
That is a lot of snow and I am pretty sure you have us beat this year. It has been bitterly cold here. I am not sure we got above zero F today. When we have big melts like that we are apt to get black ice on the roads-causing serious accidents.
Loved this post, Lynne, and your photos re awesome! xo Diana
Hello, Lynne. We're riding the weather teeter-totter with you. Amazing though how quickly the snow melt came with 2-days in the 50s. Now it's back to winter again...it's 9ยบ as I type.
Hello Lynne, I just wanted to stop back and say thank you for linking up your post. Lovely photos of your feeders birds in the snow. Happy Sunday, enjoy your day and new week ahead.
You get so much snow Lynne .... us Brits go to pieces with just a few inches of the stuff !!!
At least you get some beautiful visitors to your garden. Stay warm Lynne. XXXX
Such a warm , sweet post..But then, that's you..That's one heck of a lot of snow..This weather is just nuts..We've had the temperature fluctuations..65 a couple of days ago..12 today..We are setting lots of records..glad snow fall isn't one of them..We have had some black ice..Glad I don't ave to go anywhere..Hugs
It was 70 degrees here last week for just one day. All of our snow melted...and there was A LOT...in one day! It's cold again now, 17 degrees. No snow...yet. Pretty birds!!
When I was a young chick, I loved snow....winter...cold days. Now as an older, fatter, lazy woman, I don't much like it at all...I stay inside with warm blankets, hot coffee and good movies.
Stay warm, sister friend.
I was happy for the melt to get rid of some snow, but the warm temps were cruel, because now the cold is extra cold.
You summed up the beginning of January so very well! I love the photos snowing cardinals and finches!
We don't have Cardinals in Montana, and I miss them very much! Thanks for sharing yours with me!
