Skipping . . .

Slowing Down
not stopping though, happy that those of you that visit, have stayed
thank you
When was the last time you went skipping?
Great Grand Oakland visited us for an overnight the other day.  We drew pictures, painted, went to the playground, enjoyed pizza at our favorite place, made breakfast together,
told stories, sang songs, painted rocks, hid them in the grass near neighbor mailboxes,
to name just a few things.
And as Oakland skipped along back home to our house, I tried skipping.
I did it without much grace and laughed a raucous bunch when Miss O said,
“GG you are really looking like an old lady!”
Isn’t Life Grand
I get to enjoy her!
‘til next time,
love
lynne

What a precious photo :) I used to skip across the K-Mart parking lot, when I was little, holding onto his pinky. He would skip with me. Thank you for that memory.

Oh my goodness - how adorable! I remember how my daughters loved skipping; there is something so joyful about it. I’m going to go try it now (lol)!

Hello, Lynne! What a fun, busy time you & Oakland had. I use to be a pretty good skipper but I haven't tried it recently..........and probably won't. LOL! Thanks for bringing back some great memories. Hugs!

Oh my goodness, she is adorable! It's wonderful that you're able to keep up with her as a great-grandmother. Must be that gardening hobby that keeps you in shape! ;-)

I can tell you both had great fun and she is such a beautiful little girl, I have been away in Scotland at my sister's (so no commenting) and just about to go away again for 2 more weeks! But thanks for all your comments. Well life is short and I am making the most of it

My brain remembers how to skp but I'm not sure the body can pull it off anymore!

Oh, the charm of childhood. Nothing like it! And didn't appreciate it while I was going thru it either.

I think I could still skip. It could lead to a new hip though.

It doesn't sound like you've slowed down at all..Just busy doing other things..I'm not going to post as often either..just when I have something to say or to show you.....less pressure
I think I'd probably break something if I tried to skip..I'm tempted though ;)
Oakland is so adorable..cute picture. Have a happy 4th..Hot here..

What a hoot, Lynne! Can't remember the last time I skipped. I'll have to try it out next time I see my little 5-year-old friend; she'll probably have something equally insulting to say to me! :D
