Bitter Sweet in full bloom . . .

Almost thirty years ago I found a place to pick wild bitter sweet.
I wouldn't harm it for the world and although it is a protected plant
my picking/pruning has made this vine prolific, gorgeous, plentiful.

Several others have helped themselves to the bittersweet as well.
I don't think I have ever seen a larger area, collection of the vine.

I thought this year I may be able to pick from my vine at home
but the berries are attached at the top of the vine in a huge old Oak tree.

So, last week my friend Barbie and I took off
to snip some of the vine from my usual hideaway spot.

Blueberry Vine and Bitter Sweet Vine
combined into a wreath.

I love bittersweet and love the wreath you made. It looks adorable in the vase too!

Hi Lynne,

Greetings from Ireland.

What a beautiful plant.

I have never come across it
(unfortunately) but it is magnificent

The wreath is gorgeous and the display in the jug is something I would love to have on show here.

I hope that you get another 30 years of that lovely plant.

Hmmm I will certainly be looking out for it now!!!!

Enjoy
