What a beautiful plant.
My gosh it is adorable... a treasured memory ;) Cheers~
Lynne, it is a beautiful flower. Look tropical to me, it must be a hardy plant. Lovely images! I am patiently waiting to see some color in my yard. Snow Day today, I am staying home. Wishing you a happy day!
Gorgeous. What a special plant for such a special memory.
You snuck plant material through customs...how brave of you! It's quite lovely. I can't wait to see any sign of Spring.
It's beautiful...like wisteria and daylilies all mixed up. I look forward to seeing photo of your beautiful garden come spring...and yes, spring will come...;-) Love, Penny
I had some of that in my old garden..
loved it!!..I hope you're right about Spring..
But first all that crazy March snow must melt!!! I'm looking forward to meeting you at next weekend's Midwest Meet-up!

I LOVE this and LOVE that you brought it home and started it. I will have to try to find it.
I love crocosmia...
The first day our our trip to New Zealand we spent in a park...masses and masses of the yellow bulb naturalized through the grass. Stunning...

So pretty. Good that you smuggled it back!
really great contrast in brights!
That is gorgeous. I've never seen it before, never been to Ireland. I would never have guessed YOU were a customs rebel! (BTW, I just posted something Irish!)
This looks REALLY nice! I liked this post very much.

How wonderful that your crocosmia's out already Lynne...so lucky!Just the leaves are out around our neck of the woods. But we do have some daff's starting to peak out...so ready for spring!
Ginger says thank you for the well wishes (and so do I)...she's trying to sneak a treat as we speak...she thinks she can just act as if nothing happened, sweet, silly girl!

This is such a lovely plant that would brighten up any garden...I am going to plant some primroses this weekend...happy dance.
You rebel you! But it was worth the risk of being held in one of those little rooms by the Customs cops.
Beautiful!
And I chuckled at your Mrs. Pheasant comment. From the mouthes of babes... :)
that is a beautiful plant. love the color
How utterly lovely to have living, growing memory of Ireland... and to think it survived the trip tucked inside your bag! That is a real treasure.
What a beautiful plant! Don't know how you got past Customs though! ;-)
Beautiful Lynne!

ps teensy tiny bit of sunshine here today I'll blow some across the waters!!!
I was in Ireland about 10 years ago and one of the things I loved and noticed was how much Crocosmia just seemed to grow wild. I have been in love with it every since.
Gorgeous photos Lynne!
