I love these little pods. I don't have them in my garden but my neighbour does. I picked one last fall and dried and saved it. It's been lousy weather here in Alberta where we're visiting and also back home in NB. So rainy and wet back home. Glad I'm not there I guess. We're enjoying our holidays though. The grandsons are just adorable and keep us busy. Pam
oh I know...leaves are falling here and it surprised the heck out of me. I'm not all that ready for autumn, much less winter...brrrrrr! although I did get the propane tank and oil tanks filled.
I wonder if we are going to have an early Fall and one heck of a strong Winter?? I haven't seen one of those little flowers for years.. NOT ready to lose our pretty leaves yet though...seems they just came back..you know??
Lovely picture Lynne but the message of Fall creeping ever near is not one I want to think about at the moment! Thanks for visiting me and your kind words. I had to laugh about your tale of the upended coffee cup!! Joan
Lynne, Thank you for stopping by and offering a cheerful thought after my camera accident! Can you believe that summer is nearly over and Labor Day is just a few weeks away??? I'm not ready for fall and still trying to enjoy warm days while they're here. Have a great week!!

H Lynne I have not seen this plant for many years and yet it is a lovely one. I think it must be out of fashion here! Pity.
While I think it's a very pretty plant, I'd rather not see any signs of autumn just yet!
I love the pretty flowers. But, I am just not ready for fall! We are having a damp week here. Hopefully the weekend is nicer. Have a happy day!
Yes. Fall will be here before we know it. I love Fall so that is ok with me.
You lucky lady. I love them so and always end up buying mine for arrangements in the fall. We've been trying to grow them and can't.
Oh how I love Japanese Lanterns. I've never tried to grow them here. I suspect it may be to warm.
Hope so!!!

I remember those from my childhood, and each time I see a photo of them I think...I must get some.
And I forget until another year.

I just love these! And even though I'm more of a summer kind of person, I do love the colors of fall! Thank you for your sweet comment on my blog.
