Good Afternoon Lynne, I find my house always looks bare when the Christmas decorations are taken down, but then after a day my eye readjusts to not having so much colour around my home. I have to tell you, my Christmas decorations are also housed in cardboard boxes and labelled so that I know where everything is.... well to be truthful it is George who does all the organising, I just reap the rewards next year, ooops I should say this year. Best Wishes to you. Daphne
Good job, Lynne! Mine was all done last Sunday... Now working on my house plants..cleaning them up! Dusting...moving...rearranging...you know the routine! enjoy this sunny day... Cheers! Linda :o)
LOL - The picture of your dining room table looked just like mine! As much as I love the holidays, I'm always happy to put everything away after New Years. It feels like a fresh start, doesn't it. Hope it's a very Happy, Healthy 2016 for you.
It's such a chore isn't it. But kind of nice to get back to 'normal' again. I kept a lot of my decor out as it was more winter than Christmas so it was kind of easy to transition. It will stay for a few weeks until I get tired of winter. Haha. Have a great week.
Lynne, I finally finished dismantling Christmas here. The wreath on the door is the last thing left! I always leave it up through epiphany. I hope your week is going well. Hugs! Bonnie
All packed away for another year...will I do it again..Oh..probably! It's nice when it's all back to ..sort of...normal. Hugs..and I hope your New Year is off to a good start.
My decorations were taken down on the 5th as it was a cold dark rainy day, they are all in a spare bedroom waiting for me to buy some new see through plastic boxes, then I want to sort them all into types of deco, red, white, silver , gold and bits & bobs. you get the idea ! old battered cardboard boxes out and all tidy for next year. Well that's the idea , hope we don't get any unexpected guests as the decorations are all in piles on the bed .

Ours is all in the loft Lynne ...... Until next December ...... XXXX
My santas are packed away, but my tree is still up. I'm a slow poke!
Always a bit sad to see them packed away - actually have to dust now!

I'll start this weekend. I leave the two winter trees up and replace Santa with Snow folk but the rest will be down. Sigh. I'll miss it.

As I was away, I had no decorations to put away this year. Although I did help them take down the family's decorations in Malawi.
