Halloween
brought everyone home
the three soups were yummy
but took second fiddle to
ten month old elijah's coos and cuddles
plus two year old oakland's chatter and energy
then of course there were
pumpkins, lights, candies
the parade from house to house
and treats no tricks
a bit overwhelmed at first
it helped having mommy and daddy nearby
sea turtle little one
mommy as a mermaid
daddy as a shark
soup was grabbed on the run
some in costume, some were not
mister irish stayed back to pass out treats
the rest of us took off for the neighborhood trek
oakland hesitated at first
but then she grabbed my hand and took off
there were fourteen of us
backing her up
so much fun
as we walked up to one house
oakland turned around
looked at me and said
"I've got this GG".
from the mouths of babes
. . .
it's the little things

too cute. :) loved the sea turtle, too.
Hello, aren't they all just adorable. I love the sea turtle costumes. The kiddies do say the darndest things, so cute. Looks like a happy time with the family and great-grands. Happy Wednesday, enjoy your day!
It looks like you all had a fun time on Halloween. Nice to make it a family affair and to have homemade soup before hand. The sea turtle costume is cute on the little guy.
