It’s all I have to bring today—
This, and my heart beside—
This, and my heart, and all the fields—
And all the meadows wide—
Be sure you count—should I forget
Some one the sum could tell—
This, and my heart, and all the Bees
Which in the Clover dwell.
- EMILY DICKINSON
*****
One of my favorite pictures I took years ago.
We were driving back in the dunes near the big lake
and there nestled in the yellow bushes was this little garden like house.
And then today I pulled up the Emily Dickinson quote.
It seemed like a perfect fit.
We have only seen “the yellow bloom” one time,
we need to go check again soon.
Happy Mother’s Day
Sweet Memories
‘til next time

That is a sweet cottage scene, Lynne. I have no idea what the name of the yellow flower is but they look lovely against the green of the cottage & woods. Finding things like that is neat! The poem seems perfect too.
Wishing you a Happy Mother's Day and sending hugs!
P.S. Lots going on with hubby, Lynne.

Oh yes, the photo fits the verse. Have a wonderful Mother's Day!
Way back in high school and college, Emily Dickenson was the only poet I liked in all those Lit classes. Sadly, I have not paid her much attention since. But now here is this lovely little poem to re-inspire me. Thank You.
How beautiful!
I LOVE that photo with the beautiful yellow flowers and the sweet blue-green building. It's really pretty -- what a wonderful spot to discover.
This is a beautiful post, Lynne. I love the poem.
