I happened upon this picture today
and I was flooded back in time.
Here I am with my mom, probably the late forties.
Do you remember pin curls?
My mom used to roll my hair up in socks,
created wonderful soft curls, soft to sleep on too.
And look at that old fridge!
Oh my . . . the memories.
Happy Mother’s Day my friends.
Cherish your mom, the seasons, your memories.
‘til next time . . .
love

Parents are very important in life of every human. We should always rey about our mothers and fathers.
Happy Mother's Day, Lynne! And I love this old photos. It makes me think about my own mom.
I had pin curls for sure. My girls wore sponge rollers to sleep in and I loved putting their hair in curlers. Happy Mother's Day!
I slept in those awful brush curlers. As large as I could get to get some curl out of my hair. Luckily I finally learned to appreciate my curly hair.
Happy Mothers Day Lynne! Love the photo!
That is a fantastic picture!
(It's awesome that you have a picture of you and your mom together; I do not have a picture of my mom and me together but wish I did!)
Have a wonderful Mother's Day!

What a gem of a picture this is - sparks memories for sure. Happy Mother's Day.
Yes I had ringlets done with pieces of cloth! Memories, GREAT. Have a lovely weekend.
I remember my mother making me wear those rollers with the bristles in the 70s--they were uncomfortable to sleep on. I was glad when she got sponge rollers with clips! They didn't hurt as much. Happy Mother's Day :-)
What a fun photo! I remember pin curls. My hair was short and thin, so my mom would just twirl it in little circles and secure with criss-crossed bobbi pins. It never really did come out all that well - lol!! Happy Mother's Day!
Cherish the memories! Happy Mother's Day!
The perfect Mother's Day post! What a GREAT photo!
As I was "doing" my hair yesterday with a new dryer/round brush combo, I thought about all the different ways I have styled my hair over the course of 70 years. And I definitely remember pin curls.
Oh, yes. This picture could be of my mom and me. I have many memories of my mother "doing" my hair. Can't say I always appreciated her efforts. Haha. I think she was relieved when I finally was old enough to handle the job myself. Love, love, love your mom's apron. Hugs, Nancy
What a brilliant photograph Lynne ... one to treasure. I remember a young relative having 'rags' put into her hair { scraps of cloth to tie into hair to make curls ! } My sister and I didn't have them for some reason. Happy Mothers Day. XXXX
What a lovely photo! What a treasure!
Warm hug from a rainy Sweden and Titti
