Soup Weather . . .

Zero Temps Brought Out The Kettle
and I got busy making
Hanna Bean Soup

My late friend, Doug Hanna treated
many of us with his culinary talents for years.
Recently I was gifted his cook book by his wife and daughter.
Wonderful recipes!

I happened to have two of Doug’s Bean Soup recipes
from the late seventies-early eighties,
in my own recipe collection.

So today, in these near zero temps I combined his recipes
and whipped up some soup.

It's great soup season -- I've been doing beef stew and onion soup but veggie soup is on the menu next week (maybe with chicken!) Yum!

The bean soup sounds delicious, Lynne. Mike & I love any kind of soup this time of year but homemade chicken is my favorite. I'm making a pot tomorrow. Yum! Hugs from here!

Looks and sounds delicious Lynne ..... I love soup and have it most days for lunch .... not always homemade ! There’s nothing nicer on a cold day than a lovely bowl of warming soup is there ? So comforting. XXXX
