Grand Dog Sitting . . .

We have been
"Grand Dog Sitting"

Two of our grandsons
were out of town
this past weekend
with their parents
to be ushers in a cousins wedding

Hopefully I will be sharing photos
of these two handsome guys
tux attired
very soon.
Until then . . .
~
Meet the Grand Dogs

Note the gray hair and the paws.
Twelve years plus.

Great Dane Paws
isn't as frisky as she used to be.

Her little brother TJ is the frisky one now.

The boys named her Paws

We think TJ could fly with those ears.

Snickers really likes romping
with her "doggie cousins,"
when she isn't napping.
~
A few days before our grand dog sitting I received a

Surprise   Surprise
Someone grabbed me out of the air
and presented me with the
following awards.

Thank you Jill
for honoring me
and thinking I
am deserving
of these three blog awards.

The first award:

Very Inspiring Blogger Award

I am humbled that Jill
recognized me
and that she feels
I inspire others.

Humbled indeed !
The second award:

The Super Sweet Award

This award requires me to answer the following questions:

Cookies or Cake:
Cookies for sure, chocolate chip my favorite
Chocolate or Vanilla:
Chocolate
What is your favorite sweet treat:
Local McDonald's Candy
chocolate covered pecans
Unbelievably the best!
When do you crave sweet things the most?
Well I crave something sweet probably
every day but treating myself . . .
I (try) to discipline myself.
If you had a sweet nickname what would it be?
Hubby calls me "dear," does that count?

And last:

The Addictive Blog Award

The rule for accepting this award is to link back
to the person who gave me the award
and to explain
why I began blogging.

My friend Barbie was blogging.
I turned up my nose at it all and said
"why would you want to do that?"

Occasionally she would mention
something she had seen
on a blog
something she heard
on a blog
and
then it was
"look what I made,
so and so, on such and such blog
taught me how."

Curiosity caught hold of me
and one day I asked Barb
to show me
HOW
and that did it,
Irish Garden House
was born in May 2011.

In passing this on to others
I realize there are some of you
who don't accept blog awards.
No pressure here,
let me know if this isn't your thing.

The only rule for accepting is to link back to me
to tell me how and why you
began blogging.

Impossible to choose JUST five blogs.
But these are the rules.

The following blogs are my more recent visits.
What a wealth of inspiration and creativity there is in blog land.
I love blogging and meeting each and every one of you.
Thank you again Jill for giving me these awards.

What sweet grand-dogs! How thoughtful of you to watch them too.
Although, I'm not surprised.
You have a sweet, and generous spirit. No wonder you won blog awards.
Congratulations!!

Going over now to see the links that you've posted.

I hope you have a wonderful week, my friend.

*smile

p.s .. we could almost be twins.. I would have answered the same way that you did, with the exception of my love name that my husband calls me.
He usually calls me 'Babe', or 'Honey'.

I had to smile when I saw your grand dogs. I have 3 of my own - and two of them are senior citizens - the third is 2 and a trouble maker. :-) And I started my blog in July 2010 because a friend had a blog that I started reading. So many similarities. Guess that I why I enjoy your blog so much.

And I have gotten so much out of sharing bits and pieces of my life on the blog - it is hard to describe in words. There is an un-named something the writer gets. If I thought about it long enough I could probably find the perfect word to describe it. But for now I think it is a "mysterious something" ... I like mysterious!! :-)

Many congratulations on your well deserved awards.

Your Grand Dogs are wonderful, I find those grey muzzles so irresistible and the wisdom of an old dog is endearing.

I am thrilled, and very surprised, that you chose me for an award. Thank you, Lynne!

Oh, Lynne, your good news is overwhelming. I can’t think of anyone who deserves recognition more. Barbie, as you call her, is the best! Congratulations and thank you for this happy post.
