Gold And Silver . . .

A quiet dinner
at a favorite restaurant
to celebrate our fifteen years.

I liked the 10-18-12 on the Wall Menu,
the shine of our rings and most of all
the quiet simplicity of our being together.

A long bike ride was planned but then the rains came
. . . and stayed and stayed and stayed . . .
Even still, we enjoyed a perfect day and evening.

Jack and I took ring gold and silver from our past lives and
had matching rings made for us when we were married.
Jack suggested that . . . I have always loved that about him.
It told me he was creative and inclusive . . .
The gold is in the band with a silver piece in the center.

I like Crest and Jack likes Colgate.
I like neat and Jack likes piles.
Jack likes bread pudding, I like chocolate.
We make it work . . .

We get to do something very exciting for us tonight.
We just found out about it this morning . . .
Stay tuned . . .
