Tuesdays With Babs . . .

Our Day
Tuesdays
 Babs and me

This week we played with an
Air-Dry Crayola product
and made clay gift tags.
Our favorites were the heart shapes.
I purchased the Crayola product at Hobby Lobby.
(I am not being reimbursed to suggest this product.)

We borrowed the idea from razmataz.
Fabulous blog, she has made some precious clay creations.

You roll out the clay,
use small cookie cutters for the shape,
make your own design or use a stamp design,
use a straw end to make the hole impression,
air dry them or place them in the oven
at 200 degrees for one to two hours

After they are dry you can add a ribbon to the tag.
You can use them as a name tag on a birthday or baby gift,
wedding favor, a bottle of wine,
or possibly to identify a plant in the garden.
(not sure how they will react to rain/water).

As some of you may know
I have not been able to upload photos into my blog posts.
Blogger friends have come to my rescue and I now have a temporary fix.
Not only am I not able to browse through my photos to upload
them into my post, my link button doesn't work either.
If someone knows how to contact a real live person at Blogger
instead of using the blogger ASK button, I would appreciate it.
Several of us are experiencing this glitch.

I found using the
weave/patterns
from old linens
made for some beautiful designs.
Easy and Fun

very cool tags.

i use google chrome for my browser and haven't had any issues w/ blogger (knock on wood). in case you're using internet explorer or something else, you might want to give that a try.

They look fabulous. I love how you did them all white...with the doily for an imprint.

Switch to Google Chrome like Texas Girl said and it will work better.

These are really sweet Lynne. A great idea with Valentine's Day coming up. I like the patterns impressed on them. Someone on another blog said that if you have Picasa for your photos there is no problem with Blogger. I do have my pictures on Picasa and haven't had any issues as of yet. It is frustrating when one can't talk to a person and they don't really let us know in some way what is going on.

Lynne, The clay hearts are so pretty. What a great idea! I am sorry you are having problems with blogger, you are not the first. I know others are having the same problem. I hope you can have it fixed soon. I wish you a happy weekend ahead.

Appears that they are aware of it but it does not show that the problem is fixed.

These are simply beautiful.

I have been thinking of playing in clay. I have no idea where the closest Hobby Lobby is but I imagine it's only a click away.

Oh so cute. I love the texturing. My little ones would probably love this. How does the clay react to paint? I may need to find out. I hope you have had a good week. Bonnie

They are adorable and have so many possibilities..I understand your frustration ..It's so hard to talk to a real person these days almost anywhere..I have Picasa but I think that's automatic with blogspot ..

The gift tags turned out darling!
I think I saw something on Pinterest about air dry clay, and until now, I never realized just what cute things you could do with it.

I have stopped blogging.
I'm beyond frustrated with the ads, and so many blogs taking forever to load because of all their ads. To commercialized for me.
In addition, I have had it with Blogger. Picture problems, lost blogs, changing formats etc.. etc...
I'd rather invest my time in other things :)

Will still check on you, and love reading your blog.

Warm wishes.
K.

That looks like it was fun! I love to get ideas like that for when I'm with my nieces. I especially like the pattern made by the old embroidery. I hope you get the photo situation fixed soon - it's so annoying, isn't it?
