To Market To Market To Buy . . .

off to the market
to pick up some cukes, dill and jalapeno peppers for my daughter
she and her hubby will be putting up pickles and peppers
and I will benefit from some of the rewards

did you see the sweet couple
my friend Jackie encouraged me to catch a picture
so sweet they were as they talked to one another
darling and lovey were in their expressions

they left me with a bit of sunshine
as did the fruits, flowers and veggies

if you do not have the benefit of a home garden
I hope you are enjoying local farmer markets
and neighborhood fruit and vegetable stands

what is your favorite
can't love without
fruit or veggie

favorite fruit or veggie is tough. i eat fresh raspberries, bananas, carrots and fresh-squeezed lemon juice every single day. i'll add in apples, nectarines, cherries, blueberries, strawberries, cantaloupe now and then. potatoes. lime in my gin and tonic. ;)

Beautiful photos.

One of our favorite pastimes is visiting Farmers' Market on Saturday. Fortunately, if we miss on Saturday, the next town over has an even larger market on Sunday.

We love our farmer's market. GVSU even has one right on campus all summer long. Love that picture of the couple.

we have markets here Wednesday and Saturday mornings and Thursday evenings local producers sell their fruits and veggies. I haven't a favourite really now that you've asked I can't give you an answer, but I know that I do not like Okra.

I adore farmers market photos - so colorful you can almost smell at taste the veggies :-)

Oh heavens! Avacado's, asparagus, cherries in season, vine ripened tomatoes..strawberries, definitely peaches, plums (I planted both tree's this past year. Bottom line is probably avocado's would be my favorite in the fruits..but I love all of them.
What a beautiful display of produce. And that little couple.
So, so sweet.

Oooh, LOVE outdoor markets and we have a few in our area that I take advantage of from time to time. You meet neat people, like fiddle players and pickers and grinners.. It's just plain county fun!

This reminds me of Pikes Market in Seattle. We were just there and had so much fun. I wanted to bring everything home! The couple in your photo is precious.

I love that market garden, it's so neat and tidy...wish we had more like that around here.

They are rather messy, and muddy.

Hard to choose a summer veggie but if I must it would be tomatoes just off the plant. Love the photo of the sweet couple.

Awww, sweet! And such an impressive array of fresh goodies! I have a few Tomatoes and Cukes, and then we have an every-other-week veggie share from a local organic farmer. I only wish we could continue the share through the winter! Enjoy the harvest!

What a grand market, everything is gorgeous! Sorry, I didn't notice the couple, my eyes were drawn to the sign with my name on it!! Hey is somebody stealing my veggies and selling them in Michigan? I don't really have a favorite veggie, but I could not live without flowers (love those sunflowers)!!
