The Treasures Are Appearing . . .

I am warning you . . .a bit of photo overload here

the tree went up the day after thanksgiving
the house was in chaos for days after
I would decorate a bit
make a meal
do some baking
go to a gathering
shovel snow
and then
shovel more snow

yesterday I got serious
white pine, boxwood, holly, juniper, northern spruce
are my fresh greens
the tree is not fresh

homemade foods make up my giving treats
breads, granola, nuts, pasta, chocolate ice cream sauce
I have been busy

the living room was filled with bins and baskets
until the transformation yesterday

vintage ornaments
handmade treasures from friends and family
crib mobile of my children made into tree ornaments
my grandmother's pearls on a felt tree ornament
many shinny brights
humpty dumpty
saved cards, old magazines
sleigh bells
and the list goes on

more baking on the way
shopping to do
presents to wrap
entertaining planned

it's Christmas
what a wonderful world
happy days my friends
~

Your home is absolutely stunning. I will be sneaking back to this post during work today to admire all your lovely pictures.

PS. I imagine your shovel will getting quite a workout again today. Chris has been busy using the roof rake to clear the backyard ice rink from snow so that the ice can continue to freeze. I can't believe what an early winter we've had. Josie is in heaven!

Lots of pretties :-)
I love the pinecones sitting on the table - so simple, yet makes a big impact. Happy decorating!

You have a lot of beautiful and sweet treasures and mementos Lynne. The cover of the Country Home magazine caught my eye. I remember that cover! And I miss that magazine too, don't you? I also like the bags of goodies you have made waiting to be given. It's all beautiful and such a wonderful season. Enjoy every minute! Hugs, Pam

I need your Christmas cheer here on the prairie! We decided to pass on the Christmas decorating until some remodeling projects get finished here. Looks like I'll be decking the halls in 2014 again! Love all your photos, I have that ME print somewhere. Happy Holidays!

I adore your Christmas tree. With so many beautiful and fun ornaments to look at; it would take me quite a while to look at them all.

Love that your gifts are homemade.
From the heart, that's the best!!

Of all your beautiful Christmas décor, I especially love your sleigh bells.
I need to find me some too.

Enjoy your day, and this wonderful time of year.
