not much to say other than
snow cold minus white zero wind chills frozen
we have been inside for a few days
so far, we still like one another
we did go out together
to fill the feeders
and I tried a few photos
way too cold, back inside
snowing constantly
high winds too
difficult to get clear photos
this nest looks larger than it is
about the size of a fifty cent piece
it came rolling across the snow banks
near where the hummingbirds feed in the spring and summer
almost thin hair like pieces to make the nest
I think it is
what do you think
what a wonderful winter white world

Oh Lynne. You are living in a winter wonderland this year for sure! I love the sweet nest. Do you suppose it is? Did you google it? I'm not sure but it's a keeper. Love that last photo. We lost some snow in the rain yesterday but there's still lots here - just not on the trees like it was. Take care and keep cozy. We are too.
I stuck my nose out the back door to shake a rug....it's bitter cold. Not budging from the indoors today!
Nice pics!
I have the same. Five feet snow in my pixs the birds are hiding in the bush at my place.
Don't blame them.
Like your takes.
That last photo is gorgeous!
I can't imagine seeing that much snow. You must be freezing!
Kristin
goodness me you certainly do have your share if not more of snow, though it makes such gorgeous photos. What a nice variety of birds you are feeding, such a delicate nest, I'll be interested if you find your answer.
All those words apply here as well..Less snow though...Walked Mollie for a half hour this AM..OK except for the wind..It was minus .6..never saw that before..Nice pictures Lynne..
Cute nest, they are always so lovely to photograph. The outside world would not be so bad without the wind. Scout and I did attempt a short walk this morning. We probably did about a mile, only bad when walking into the wind. Riley chose not to come.
Beautiful! Cold but still beautiful!
I'm kinda happy we didn't get hammered with the snow like you did... snow equals no work for the hubby usually.
Stay warm my friend!
my, my, that is thick and heavy stuff. brrr.
Day two of the Polar Vortex. It's amazing isn't it! Your pictures are gorgeous. I just added a few of my own on the blog. Chris has been the one braving the temps to clear paths and make sure the feeders are full. Stay warm and cozy!
COLD... I would like some snow but not the blizzard kind.
Totally about white in your area. and not a drop or flake on the ground here. We had clear blue skies today but it was far too cold to go outside and enjoy them in the bitter cold. This too shall pass, right?
I love all your pictures. We have the cold, but no snow. I did stay in yesterday, but today I headed to school with the temps in the single digits. Stay warm! Bonnie
Lots of snow and white there, Lynne! The birds are beautiful, thankful that you are feeding them too. Love the nest shot, you should check out that area in the spring for the hummers. Enjoy the rest of your week, stay warm and safe.
Oh, my. It reminds me of Northern Colorado in April and May last year. The little birds are so sweet. I miss cardinals. Haven't seen one since I left Ohio. That little nest is wonderful. I'd love to find one like that. I'm sure you're right about who it belonged to. Stay warm, Lynne.
Good Evening Lynne, Happy New Year to you. I had heard on the BBC weather forecast that parts of America were experiencing huge snow fall, but I hadn't realised you were in the midst of the storm.
Yes, the photos are beautiful, but it must be very difficult for you to get out and about in such weather.
Thank heavens you are feeding the birds as they would really struggle without food in this weather.
Stay warm and cosy and fingers crossed this cold weather does not last too long.
Best Wishes to you.
Daphne
