the morning after
the blizzard of january twenty five, twenty fourteen
the banks and lumps of snow
had turned into
wind blown snow fondant
and then we started shoveling ourselves out
time for a lovely quick selfie
and a bit of color
love from a
burned out cabin fever
springtime hopeful

awww! that's a lot of snow, for sure. be safe!!
Lynne..you poor baby girl!! The snow is beautiful but it looks SO cold! You look downright miserable.
Didn't it block your front door?
Heavens!! I GUESS you DID have blizzard.
I'm sending you a hug..but doubt it's going to do much to dig your little selves out!!
Lynne, now that is a lot of snow to dig out..Snickers could get lost out there. Stay warm and take care. Happy Sunday!
I love your hat and I want it! Perfect to go with my nerd glasses.
Oh my! I believe you've had more snow than we've had here. Alas, it is snowing again as I type. I suppose we'll keep digging for awhile.
Best,
Bonnie
Chris actually used the snow blower on the ice rink yesterday. We think we got at least 12 inches between Friday into Saturday. As much as I love winter, this can stop. Poor Josie can't even walk in the yard. It's way past her waist. Snickers must getting tired of this too.
Oh, I don't envy all that shoveling. Reminds me of April and May in our Colorado home last year. Hang in there, Lynne. Spring is coming. (Cute selfie.) ~ Nancy
That is a huge amount of snow!
I'm sure you are thinking enough is enough. Thankfully we haven't had any so far. I'm sure you get prepared to be snowed in for awhile ! Do you have snow ploughs for the main roads ? Your selfie is great I too would wear a snuggly hat like that.
It does look like Fondant doesn't it ..I don't envy your having to dig yourselves out of that..It's so cold that there's not much chance of its melting any time soon..Thinking of you...
At least you look ready for the cold :)
I'll try not complain anymore about winter. I have it easy!
WInter wonder land? WOWZER! Hopefully it will all be gone by July.
Wow, lots of snow, wishing it was lost though. I'm living in our RV in my daughter's driveway as we visit North Carolina and tonight is is -7 and already there is 5 cm of snow on the ground. I know that is nothing compared to what you shoveled out but hey! I left that behind and haven't seen anything but cold since I've been gone. Can't imagine what Spring will bring
