Going Out On A LImb . . .

#1 Gotta be able to laugh at ones self . . . it isn't always perfect . . . I cleaned the pull out freezer today, the one at the bottom of the refrigerator.  It wasn't my plan for the day . . .
I reached in to get a package of frozen blueberries and a package of Starbucks coffee managed to open, spill, sprinkle and make one heck of a mess of the freezer . . .
Things aren't always perfect . . . freezer is real clean right now!

#2 I have these red velcro roller things that I roll up in my hair after I wash it. It gives my extra straight hair a little bend.  Velcro tends to stick to everything . . . sometimes one of the rollers rolls down my back and sticks on my sweater.  There I am, out in public and someone is holding up a red roller they have removed from my back. What's a girl to do other than be able to laugh at self . . .

#3 One time I forgot I had a roller in my hair and went to my grandsons track meet with a roller in my hair.  My grandson pulled me over and said . . ., "gramma, you've got a roller in your hair . . ." The bad thing is, I walked into the meet with a very nice man with a roller in my hair and he never said a thing.  The really bad thing is, I saw him at the next meet and he said "Hi, I remember you . . .!"   The really good thing is, . . . Jordon still loves me . . .

#4 I took off on errands today and before I left I sent a message to my daughter to reassure her that there were no rollers hanging on to me . . .

#5 Going out on a limb here . . . I think we are turning a corner on this weather thing.
This morning it was twenty degrees when I woke up.  That is darn right balmy for around here as of late!   I saw my first Purple Finch at this feeder earlier in the week.  I haven't seen him since.  I tried for a picture but no luck.
(I jinxed it . . . update Thursday at four and it is snowing!  Yikes!)

It is good to be able to laugh at ourselves. Purple is the color of my sometimes forgotten roller(s).

Best,
Bonnie

I think it is good to be able to laugh at ourselves.. I think you still have us beat with the amount of snow you have there. But, I think we tried catching up just on this day. Happy Valentine's Day to you and yours!

Definitely good to find humor in ourselves. I hope you're doing something fun for Valentines. Since surgery, I've been spoiled with meals from coworkers. Tomorrow's meal is even covered! Hugs!

Ha ha! At least they were red curlers - perfect for Valentine's Day!!!

Don't you hate those spills!!! I'm always happy afterwards because it forces me to do the deep cleaning. Deep cleaning is rarely on my list. I just don't have the time!

Can't believe the snow!!!

What a lot of snow you have! It's been snowing here since yesterday afternoon. We have about a foot of the white stuff, which is very unusual in this area!

Haha ….. you made me laugh about your rollers . Nearly as bad as having your skirt tucked in your knickers !!!!
I think that the weather seems to be extreme all over the world. I just hope that it settles down soon.
Have a lovely weekend Lynne and stay warm. I hope that the snow stays away.. XXXX

OMG! I bought those same red rollers! Then I realized..that they are a real hazard to women with long, long hair and ended up having to cut one out. I have had them for a couple of years now and they are way back under the bathroom sink. I really ought to throw them away..Goodwill? Nahhh..maybe not.
Never walked out with them in my hair because I was cured of them early in the game. VERY early!

I cannot believe more snow is going to be dumped this weekend..if not already.
I'm sorry.. Happy Valentines Day to you too!

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit here...the roller thing reminded me of a sock thing my daughter and I went through. If I can remember will share on next random 5....

Great Random 5.
How funny about the roller in your hair. I enjoyed the story about it and the happy outcome.
Cool looking shot of the birds at the feeder.
Sorry you got more snow.
