Top Of The Mornin' . . .

Top of the Mornin' to you . . .
~
Recently I was invited to join in a
BLOG HOP
My friend Kerin invited me to participate
and you can find her here at
Mill Hill Meadow

I will tell you more about Kerin and the Blog Hop in just a minute.

We are changing from summery days to the gorgeous
walking, bicycling, leaf viewing days of fall.
Michigan is already seeing some of the
bronze, burnt orange, gold colors in their trees.

I think this Blog Hop is a perfect time for
me to bring you up to date with the Irish Garden House
because I recently had some changes made.

Minimalist seems to be the look I am going for.
If you want to find out more information
about me and the Garden House, click on the
About
under my header and you will find out how
Irish Garden House
first came to be.

If you follow along with me,
no doubt you will see plenty of our sweet dog named Snickers.
She is a Shorkie, which is a cross of a Yorkshire Terrier and Shih Tzu.

There will also be photos and stories about our visits to Ireland,
other travels, things I like to do,
some writing and quotes,
creating with my flowers and gardens

 foods and recipes,
books I have enjoyed

and most certainly there will be
photos of my family
children
grandchildren
great granddaughter

so let's get on with this
BLOG HOP

As I said above, I was invited to this blog hop by Kerin.
Love the spelling of her name, although we have never met,
her name and the look of it seems to fit her perfectly.

Kerin and I met briefly a few years ago
and in the past few months we have enjoyed
getting to know one another more.

I was drawn to Kerin's pleasant gentle way of being,
her attitude, and I really liked her
Attitude of Gratitude
she often has on her blog.
Here is one of her grateful mentions
"I am grateful that I have an appreciation for provident living.
I want to be able to make the most of the summers' bounty."

Not sure what Kerin saw in me but I do know
she really liked my Wolky shoes.
(ask her to take a peek)

I am happy to call Kerin my friend.
I hope you'll hop over and visit her,
I am sure you won't be disappointed.
~
One of the things I was asked to do
in participating in the blog hop was to answer four questions.

since I tend to go on and on
I will try and make my answers very brief

 What am I working on?
playing in my mind with fall ideas for bouquets, garden areas, our home

sorting, recycling, pitching, downsizing
outside and inside

How does my work differ from others of its genre?
authenticity is my mantra
I have to do my own thing, in my own way.
and in the process be kind, honest with some humor too.

 Why do I write/create what I do?
the creating part is my favorite,
I get an idea and then I feel like I am soaring.
It is so freeing to be true to ones self.

How does my writing/creative process work?
sensually
the weather, the seasons
my surroundings
fragrance
texture, design, sound
~
The next part of the blog hop was to introduce you to
three other bloggers and invite them to participate in the hop.
I am going to change that up a bit because one of my friends
I invited is already committed to the World Blog Hop,
Another friend I invited has recently changed to a new format and
isn't posting on her blog right now.
I didn't manage to get the third friend invited.
So instead, here are some friends that I follow,
I invite you to click on their blog name and stop in and visit them.

Playing With My Camera
(if you stop in soon, you'll see a brand new baby)
Ivy, Phyllis and Me!
(wonderful stories, fabulous recipes, beautiful presentation)
Run A Round Ranch
(daily posts of happenings around the ranch like Whistlers, Indigo Buntings, and more)
At Home In English Valley
(vintage collecting, a real deal honest, lovely woman)
Wildly Simple
(beautiful, active, loving family, I love to read and listen to what she has to say)
~
I should have warned you that this would be a long post.
Now you know if you are still with me!

This is it though,
I hope you enjoy the
Blog Hop
and visiting my friends
~
'til next time,
Love, Lynne

Hi Lynne ~ good for you for downsizing and doing the minimalist thing...I've been working on that, slowly but surely. It's my basement storage area that's the clutter zone. The rest of my house isn't too bad. I will check out some of the blogs you mentioned that I'm not familiar with.

Beautiful photographs as always Lynne. It is getting very Autumnal here although, we are enjoying a beautiful Indian Summer here in the UK but, it has started to get a little chilly in the mornings and evenings and, the leaves are beginning to turn.
As for minimalism, I start off that way and then I start finding things at flea markets etc. and the house starts to fill up again { the same as my wardrobe !!!! }. XXXX

I went back to the About page and read the story of the Garden House. I love it! I have never been to Ireland but would love to visit. The Garden House could easily be somewhere in the Yorkshire Dales of England, one of my favorite places. I love all the drystone walls and stone buildings! That is a darling photo of your GGranddaughter!!! :-) We're getting cold, rainy weather here. Yikes. Winter can't be far behind!

I'm liking minimalist, also - I'm taking a week of to stay home and hopefully pare down! Your Fall colors in Michigan are looking wonderful. I enjoyed learning a little more about you and your creative process!
