Mister Irish Garden House guy will start us off with a photo
from the annual Kiwanis Children's Party.
Guess who was first to sit on Santa's lap!
Next you will see us enjoying fondue
at my daughter and son in laws home.on Christmas Eve
We have been enjoying this
tradition together for several years.
Steak, meat balls, veggies are some of our favorites.

I was very happy to see and be with
Great Grand Oakland.
I had fun searching for a holiday dress for her
. . . which she wore for about twenty minutes.
Crawling requires proper clothing, not a dress because
the knees can't move fast enough when stuck inside a dress!
Oakland enjoyed crawling everywhere . . .
we all spent some time on the floor with her!

gatherings with family members and friends on various days and evenings, here and away, long walks on clear, snowless roads and paths, listening to music, church services, singing carols, food planning, preparing, cooking, grazing . . .
repeat that again and again.

Although we have enjoyed our happy days
we realize these aren't always happy days for everyone.
We have friends and family members who are
grieving the deaths and tender losses of loved ones.
Jack and I think of each of them and keep them in our caring.

Love seeing the generation together for the holidays. We had our 14 month old nephew Owen here at our house yesterday.. What a treat!
Such a good reminder in those caring words.. We spent Christmas Eve with the young couple we know who lost their baby Charlie this early fall. They're trying to return to "normal" happenings after all those months in the hospital with him. I could see it was hard for them, knowing this should have been his first Christmas. Very humbling. It felt good to know that in their time of hurting and healing we might be able to at least aid in a smile or two.
