Magnificent Mile . . .

My daughter Suzie and I spent the past weekend in Chicago.
We enjoyed being together and the sights, sounds and lights.

Some shopping was accomplished but I think
we enjoyed the Eataly more than anything.

We also made a stop at Trader Joe's.
I love their Oatmeal Honey Bar Soap.

The longs lines at Garrett's Popcorn were impossible.
I kept an eye on the line and when
it dropped to just a few people
 I hopped right in place.

The not so good news
I couldn't order my favorite popcorn.

The very good news,
they GAVE me a bag of cheesy popcorn.
Soooo good!.

The weather was warm, sunny and like usual, very windy.
We enjoyed the walking and walking and
more walking!

There is no doubt about it
We will be doing this again,
very soon.

oh my
I love my girl

I love Chicago especially at Christmas. Nice to see you and your daughter having such a good time. We had a delicious dinner at Eataly after our last Shakespeare. What a feast for the eyes that place is.

Best,
Bonnie

Oh, Yay! You girls had a great trip, and such fun together.
I am surprised that there wasn't snow on the ground, but I'm sure it made walking around and seeing the sights much easier :)

Oh, I love Trader Joe's too!
Ours is in Salt Lake City. Maybe before Christmas, I can get up there and do a bit of shopping....**smile**.

Warm wishes...

Still haven't been to Chicago at Christmas - Michigan Ave. looks so pretty and your photos are great! I was at the mall Sunday and noticed a random line outside a store - it was. Garrett's popcorn shop just for the holidays. I need to get some!

What a fun mother-daughter trip! Love all the pictures of the two of you together. Emma was in Chicago yesterday for a high school French field trip and then they spent the afternoon at the Waters Tower shopping. I'm a tiny bit jealous.
