Good Fences . . .

I thought I was in Texas
when I found this entrance/gate/fence the other day.
It reminded me of some of the photos that Texas friend brings to us.

This ranch is named
 SADDLE NOTCH RANCH

I don't think snow like this happens in Texas,
although, I have never been to Texas, so I might be wrong.
But, we are taking care of that little issue,
Snickers, Mister IGH and I will be taking off for Texas very soon.
It will be the first winter we will be getting away
to spend time in warmer weather.
(Snickers will be doing my posts while we are gone.)
~
happens every Thursday
I have met some wonderful people
and visited their fence photos from all over the world.

why not link up and join us
click on the Good Fences above and it will take you to
Theresa's, (TexWis) site

that is a BEAUTY!!! hooray for those northerners getting with the texas-style gates! :)

in the 30+ years i've been in texas, i've only seen snow accumulate like that once or twice. a few years ago, we had 10 inches at once that stayed on the ground several days - almost unheard of here. :)

and i hope whatever part of texas you visit, it will be sunny and warm! today we are 40ish and gray and rainy. :)

After your comment on TWG's site, I had to sneak a peek. Yep, that is a Texas-style gate. Love it and definitely not disappointed. Stay warm where you are.

Like that gate, looks like a real one ;) I've seen pictures of snow in San Antonio, TX. But when I got there for Christmas it was more like summer to me :)
Wish you a wonderful time in Texas!
Have a fine day

It does look like a good ol' Texas fence! We sure have some beautiful ones here. I live in East Texas and we rarely get snow....if we do, it is usually gone by the next day. You need to make a trip to Texas...We sure have a lot of land around here!

A beautiful entrance to their place, and it does have that Texan flair with a Minnesota, Wisconsin or Colorado background! Just lovely!

This is a great shot. Your gates always leave me wanting to go down the road, beyond the fence, to see what I'd find.

Love your fence photo...and I do believe we have more snow on the ground than in your photo...:)
It's cold here...and snowy...so where are you going in Texas..?

Good sturdy gate and looks nice too. The last good snow we had here in south Texas was in 1985. They are predicting MAYBE some in the hill country in the morning but probably just the newsmen getting excited. When we do have a few flurries everyone gets excited and everything closes and we don't know how to drive in it. Hope you get lots of sun when you come down.

Beautiful gate... does look like it could be in Texas. ;) We do have snow... just not very often and it doesn't usually last for long. The times it has lasted causes much grief for our ill equipped spot in the world. Ha! If you pass through East Texas, let me know and we'll have a cup of coffee! blessings ~ tanna
